Title: SHAFT DRIVE
Post by: steveb19 on March 04, 2014, 09:49:10 PM
Hi
I am not happy with my shaft drive assembly. There is (I think ) excessive backlash and its clonking a bit.
Anyone had one apart or any ideas? I service and repair all my bikes so I'm up to it ,just looking for info.
(2007 model)
Any info appreciated
Steve

Do the splines just need greasing?

If you are right and there is excessive backlash, then I reckon that the assembly will require re-shimming, has your bike done lots of mileage ?
