those maxxis are a cheap low budget tyre , id be very uncomfortable with them on, especially at this time of year.

there are many opinions on good tyres but one name that constantly turns up is the Michelin Pilots, ive got the PR3's on mine

I've had PR3's on both my GTR's and they are terrific.

It varies considerably between riders but I've had virtually 9k out of mine before I decided to change them. (They were still perfectly road legal). The front PR3 I will have had on two years next month and the rear I changed a few weeks ago.

Anything BUT MAXXIS mate !!
Stay away from them (specially on the GTR). The GTR is a heavy beast.

Tugg, a bewildering subject this.
First off there are no bad tyres,  end of.
For what it's worth,  In my opinion one of the best right now is , Avon Storm 3D XM, " why is that" you ask.
Because they stop your bike from falling over, as they stick to the road like  :shit: to a blanket.
They do better mileage than anything else that I have ever used, my normal mileage for a rear is 5,000 the Avon has done 8,000 and is still going strong, I figure that it will do over 10,000.

But most of all they dont deform and make the bike feel awful, unlike most of todays crop of tyres, most of which are knackered long before they have worn the tread out.

I just mounted a set of Michelin PR4 GT on my GTR. Currently there's 3 Kaws with Pilot Road 3/4 in my garage so lets say that I'm convinced of its superior performance.
