Radical changes to the GTR, (well for me anyhow).
The panniers have stayed on but the top box has gone, destined for the loft along with the chunk of metal it sat on courtesy of MG some time ago.
The sat nav has gone, along with the mount, the SW Motech tank ring and bag has gone, now stashed away in the wardrobe.
I have to admit I like the cleaner lines of the bike with all these accessories banished, it almost looks like a sports bike now, well almost.
I just fancied a change of appearance and it almost looks like a different bike.
Totally agree! The bike in standard trim does look meaner and sportier with the screen down and panniers the only addition to even up the lines. The tank bag and clutter doesn't flatter.
Saw mine today after 7 weeks under a duvet ( the GTR, not me), and thought how classy it looks. Of course once it sits next to the ZZR1400 it gets a bit lardier!
Should point out not my ZZR unless I'm still asleep!

how did you get on with the tank bag and ring , i was thinking about getting one for our euro trip this year?
Viper, it's an excellent piece of kit. Highly recommend it. I'll be putting it back on for my Scotland trip later this year.
I've never had the top box on
