Title: DAB radio
Post by: cribby on February 19, 2014, 08:41:31 PM
I'm in the middle of fitting a Pure Highway DAB radio to the bike and I'm after your opinions please. I'm fitting the radio under the seat and switching it through a waterproof switch on a bracket on the left hand handlebar, supplied by Woodways, the same one they fit on the Police bikes. I've mounted the aerial on a home made bracket mounted under the rack, what do you think? Anyone done anything similar?

Hopefully there is a picture of the bracket and aerial below

I couldn't get a consistent signal with the Pure Highway ... Although I mounted the aerial behind the number plate. Hopefully you'll have a bit better reception with it there... But it limits the use of the rack.

Ended up with  a  pocket DAB from Tesco. £19 , and works extremely well

I meant so say that I also added an amplirider amplifier to increase the volume through my ear pieces. It's got a remote volume control (thats what you can see on the bottom of the handlebar bracket) got this from a supplier in the states, about £60 and excellent quality, will let you know how it goes but up to now, FAB

I know (or believe) that Debs had a DAB radio on her older GTR but I cant recall how it was wired in.
