Nce camera :-) Auto exposure, Program AE, 1/64 sec, f/5, ISO 250 Shot at 41 mm

it's a good idea to crop pictures in MS Paint if your camera or phone has GPS (which is handy sometimes) if you are showing the exact location of your precious motorcycle etc.

This photo has no EXIF location data :-) http://regex.info/exif.cgi (http://regex.info/exif.cgi)

It's not my responsibility. That's down to the management company to get sorted, but they are a bunch of lazy  :censored:  :mfr_lol:

Debs, I think that Andy is saying that various pieces of personal information are accessible from some posted photographs, some of which can show the location of the picture which could potentially be a security problem, especially with GPS related images

Are you using a canon EOS 1100d for example

Here's original uncropped picture of my lunch break http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6174/6267074805_8ca47a920c_o.jpg (http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6174/6267074805_8ca47a920c_o.jpg)

Copy this URL (http etc.) into this website http://regex.info/exif.cgi (http://regex.info/exif.cgi) or browse for a picture on your PC

andd it should give you this result http://regex.info/exif.cgi?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Ffarm7.staticflickr.com%2F6174%2F6267074805_8ca47a920c_o.jpg (http://regex.info/exif.cgi?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Ffarm7.staticflickr.com%2F6174%2F6267074805_8ca47a920c_o.jpg)

The frightening part is the map co-ordinates and the Google Map image, although when I tried it I couldn't get those features to appear. Nevertheless, far too much info passed to God knows who.

Well instead of decoding the EXIF data, finding where it is and then trying to get past Debs to steal her baby, Mr Wolf is advertising when and where people can take a truck and load up a whole stack of GTRs........

QuoteThis years GTR annual meet is being held here, http://www.thebelfryhotel.co.uk/ on Friday 13th June to Sunday15th June 2014.

You can't do anything these days eh?

I like pictures with exposure data and GPS when I'm trying to remember where a road or feature is. Just crop the photo with MS Paint (or take a screenshot) if in doubt before publishing to web.

On the subject of croppng...if you use Photoshop or PS Elements and crop a photo to remove unwanted images remember to save cropped image as a new file name otherwise the enbedded thumnail will still show original un-cropped image.

Yes I will concede that in some cases modern technology is very good,            BUT                 I can state categorically that there will never be a space on my bike for a bloody sat nav. Over teens of years of riding bikes, all of the best places that I have discovered stemmed from curiosity, or getting lost.

You can allus follow me when your lost Geoff, that way you get the benefit of a sat nav, and getting un-lost, plus you will be able to observe a class rider at his work  :mfr_lol:

Try to navigate the Lyon motorway "ring road" without a SatNav.
I don't like SatNavs but that is a right  :censored:

None of the junctions are even remotely intuitive and the signposting is shockingly bad.
Easiest route is the A6/A7 straight through the middle of Lyon but you WILL get stuck in traffic and the lanes are too narrow to be able to filter.
