Hi all:
Just wanted to check the removal of the front wheel requires a 22mm Hex (allen) or one of these wheel removal gizmo's (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Draper-30831-Expert-Motorcycle-Spindle/dp/B0043MHGAI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1391548676&sr=8-2&keywords=22mm+hex)... I need one for my touring tool kit.

Also, can you confirm that it's a 27mm nut on the rear?
Thanks

A spare split pin is a great idea.
I got toolbox friendly adapter yesterday. £4.
Not as fancy, but works
Baracuda:
Where did you get that? Do you have a link?
Have you used it? Any good? £4 is good value.

49 SEK = £4,50
All in swedish :mfr_lol: helps alot....
Used it yesterday, and it Worked on both my GTR and ZRX together with a 19 mm socket/ wrench.
Haven't seen this model anywhere else.
I can bring a bunch to 2014 meeting if anybody is interested. :)
halfords sell the one for the front on their motorbike section, Its£10 , same as most ebayers. As i said you dont need one for the back , just a waste of money and additional weight on the bike
I got mine from Halfords as well. Also have a 27mm for the rear wheel.
Mr Bacaruda what is that contraption you are using to support the front forks?

Ah, mr Wolf it's "Design by JB" (Johan Bergquist aka Bacaruda) I made it from a alu-profile system called ITEM, (used ITEM-profiles at my former work). I designed it to serve as a support for both the fork, and as a frame support (after rebuilding it) when removing the complete fork/and/or front wheel on my ZRX. The rex don't have centerstand so i lift the bike with the rear paddock stand, put the support under the frame and lower the paddock stand, woila, front is flying free!
Very good, it looked at first to me like a modified pair of aluminium step ladders.

Or use an 'R' clip which is re-usable
You are quite right O.C
And if had done my own wheel removal instead of the dealer, I would have used an R clip.

yep that's an 'R' clip (not to be confused with a Linch Pin) :mfr_lol:
just out of interest, which side comes out on the front, got to replace disks, or do both sides unscrew
From the front, looking at the wheel,,,,,,the right collar is threaded, the shaft pulls out from the left......
