Sorry guys and dolls put it in wrong section and dinni know how to move it ( f...cking big digits)
its a very good idea but £35 ! is there a cheaper way
THREAD HAS BEEN MOVED.
I saw that the other night and did think about ordering one as it says they increase the contact area by 100%.
£35 is a tad dear however if it prevents the bike from falling over on gravel etc then its money worth paying, I've seen touratech ones in the past for other makes & models and they were possibly a lot more.
Ye it is slightly dear but quality and fit is excellent as was the fast delivery
No messing around with pucks trying to line them up etc you could certainly waste
your money on lesser farkels /gismos
Ps thanks for moving thread to right section
Kenny :devil2: :devil2:
Kenny, when the side stand is retracted, does the extra bit on it look ok or a bit out of place. I'll probably end up ordering one as I do think they have their uses.
Let me know as well
I have this one fitted. Where I live the parking area is just gravel and it works wonders.

I added it when I was ordering other stuff, so I wasn't hit with more postage.
I prefer the looks of the R&G one.
The R&G one looks a more solid arrangement. The other one seems to be held in place by just the edge of 2 small washers? I feel that it could become displaced if the ground was a bit eneven
Kenny
Get a picture of it on the bike in both positions. the one on Ebay is not a GTR.
Thanks
Alan

I have used mine for the past 2 years and it has never come loose.
Hope this helps
Kenny
Here is another with stand up
Kenny :devil2: :devil2:
That looks just fine, many thanks for posting that. I'm going to order one.
£35!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Buy a Poppy puck from the Royal British Legion. £1 and support a good cause.

Looks like a flipping golf bat. :mfr_lol:
I carry a plastic puck in the tank cubby hole.
It has a long piece of wire that attached that hooks over the clutch & grip that makes it easy to retrieve.
Since I rarely use it no need to have it attached all the time.

Or buy a tin of coca cola, pour the shit down your plug hole to clear the drains, and flatten the tin.
Oh and then donate to RBLR
I've gone for the Made in Taiwan option as per Deb's link :-)

yes ive got the plastic puck thing, got it free of some motorbike mag, keep it in the top box, used it once in 3 years!
I have a piece of aluminium that I cut and keep it in my glovebox.
Cost me nothing and works a charm.

I find an old galvanized dustbin lid works a treat, and when not used under the stand ya can strap it to yer back with aerolastics, makes a great back protector

The poppy puck is crap - had 2 so far and the GTR sidestand breaks them in half - just donate the money and use a bit of cut down checker plate. Works great for me. I am a RBL Rider but wouldn't use that type again.
As i am a poor truck driver i don't have the funds to buy such items....
So, instead of tying a dustbin lid to my back, what i like to do is send my man (Tugg) forward and locate a suitable hard standing for my bike. If he is clever he will have located a suitable water supply too, so he doesn't have to walk far when cleaning said bike ready for the next days adventure....
I assume every one takes their butler/gofer with them don't they?
Simples...

Nah, I reckon he was cashiered from the Army for something ' unbecoming to an officer and gentleman' and bought his batman with him.
