I took my 2012 gtr back to the dealers regarding condensation issue's,the speedo, rev counter, info screen & headlight,i was told by the maintainance manager,it's rained the last couple of month's (what can I expect)my reply was for 13.6k no condensation.they wanted photographic evidence that there was a problem, well I now have it !!!!!! in my honest opinion there warranty aint worth the paper it's written on as for paying 400 to extend the warranty,i don't think so.this will be the 3rd time of going back to complain.once they have your hard earned cash, they don't seem to care,i've seen comment's on here that people have had this & that done under warranty,i think it's a joke.
That is not acceptable. If no joy from dealer would suggest talking direct to customer services at kawasaki HO.

Ask him where in the warranty conditions it tells you not to use the bike in the rain...then tell him he's a knob

What! you mean you have the temerity to ride your motorcycle in the rain!
Me, I'd phone Kawasaki UK and complain like a bastard, drop the Dealer in the crapper, and ask them what the £400 extended warranty is all about, bloody cheek of the 'man'!
Might be worth mentioning that you're part of the GTR.UK Forum too......

ooooff, not good. I won't go there !!! :whistling:
But there is a fix you can try yourself if you get absolutely no joy from anyone under the warranty.....
I ran my bike in Monsoon condition for 5 days straight in Germany 2 years back, not a drop of condensation anywhere, so they can make them watertight, yours is obviously faulty and you need to pursue it .
Whoa whoa whoa, Kin ell calm down everybody. If the bike is an 012 it's still under warranty, unless you bought it in the first 2 weeks of January. First off the headlght fogging up is normal, and if you start the bike the headlamps will clear that in seconds, and it tells you so in the owners handbook. However the clocks steaming up are a different matter, you have reported dissatisfaction to the dealer and you now have the photos to back up your case. So why is everybody ranting and raving?. Give the process time to work and I am sure that Kawasaki will do the right things and make you totally happy again. In my years as a big K owner, they have never let me down. If your dealer is less than helpful speak to Simon Chitty at customer services, and I sure things will be resolved to your satisfaction. Keep calm, speak to people in a polite manner, DONT start growling and snapping at folk and all will be well.
I'm with Geaoff here ... Alfs ( thats where you went ? ) have always been very good and the bike is under warranty so they have an obligation to certainly sort out the clocks and face ... Simon Chitty is the man you need to speak to at Kawasaki UK Customer Services if you are unhappy .. I hear he is "the man". Just take a deep breath before you pick up the phone ... let us know how you get on
Me too. Getting venomous straight out of the crate will do nothing other than get folks back up.
I had a couple of warranty issues with mine and RobSpeed of Grimsby simply recorded the issue, referred to Big K and it was a phone call 72 hours later asking when I could bring it in.
Kawasaki customer service is superb, dealers however can vary as a warranty claim is too much like hard work for some.
If the dealers are unhelpful, try another, but don't go in all guns blazing or you will get treated in a reciprocal manner
Tapps .... Do you here what we are saying ?? :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:
Yes rusty,will try alfs 1st.

Simon Chitty sorted a little problem I had a while back, actually sent out some free parts to me worth £100 approx. and paid for a dealer to have them fitted for me, absolutely 100% top rate customer service.

Pray tell
I get a bit in the clocks, found last year if I left the bike out in the sun it disappeared, then a bit of ACF50 on the clocks seemed to cure it, but I'd imagine the condensation was still in the clocks somewhere....
Noticed the other day there was a bit that had come back again
I've had the bike treated by all year biker, with the acf50 treatment,i've also applied a little using a cloth,i've just renewed my warranty so my dealer will be getting a visit in the near future,i can see water mark's on the bottom of both clock's on the inside.
Tapps ... did you ever get your damp/dehumidifier/garage sorted / has it all originated from there ?
