'Great story, especially if you like appreciate "old birds". I think it is incredible that after all those years she flies again.
Seafire got its name from the "Sea Spitfire"
The land based Spitfire was modified with a tail hook added
and folding wings so it could be flown from and onto carriers at sea.

In September they have a 'Victory Show' in the next village to us.... And a Eurofighter put on a display... Now it pissed everyone off that it didn't do its stuff over the show... But it kept going backwards and forwards over our back garden
In one pass it was upside down at no height at all... And I could see the green glow of the Head up display
Next pass and he went vertical with full afterburners directly over our house.... What a day
Great video as usual .. thanks for posting
It does leave me a little mixed sadly ... the greatness of the Lancaster and it's history, the braveness of those who flew into combat over occupied Europe and of course those who were shot down ... when I saw the footage from below and behind can you imagine what it was like ? The Me109 cannons blazing and the rear gunner trying to fight off the quick hunter ... Bloody Hell !
Still ... great that these machines are kept in tip top condition for us youngsters to appreciate and remember.
