Title: Tyre pressure 'read as you drive'
Post by: Debs on January 03, 2014, 11:47:17 PM
Surely it would be quicker for people to get off their fat  :asshole: and check them manually?

I can understand for buses and trucks that have lots of wheels, but cars? WTF

That's a pretty neat bit of technology. I wouldn't doubt that the only time the tire pressure is checked in many cars is when its taken to a mechanic for regular services.

Whatever it reads it's going to be inaccurate. My understanding is that tyres should be left for about 3 hours for them to stabilise to an accurate reading and even then the ambient temperature will influence what the readings reveal. Good idea in principle but as has been said such basic maintenance should be second nature, weekly checks of the tyre pressures is something which everyone can fit in. Why I remember doing mine as recently as last April/May and they were just fine!  :mfr_lol:
