Post by: nightrider on January 02, 2014, 09:46:21 PM
Thinking of getting one of these small bullet cameras, have seen a few at £50-100 ,  has any one tried any of these cheaper ones , I know you get what you pay for  , but I only want to use it every now and then , ,,,,,, :biker3:

i had one attached to bike and then to a cheap dvdr. You do get what you pay for it was a cheap set up and was disapointed. the colours were terrible only 240 lines and when the sun came out the picture kept bleaching out.
took it off after a few days.

Got a gopro now !!

I went down that path originally and it was disappointing.

Stuff from Chilli Tech is OK though, their Action Cameras are pretty good on a budget or as a tester

I would only say get one with a rechargeable battery as opposed to putting AA's into. The reason for this is that I bought one last year with a colleague and we found that the batteries would rattle around in the battery compartment and they would loose contact and switch off unknown to us wasting good footage time.  i just wish I could get a 12v powered camera that was waterproof and record on a loop like these cash for crash cameras that are cheap on ebay.
I rigged up a CCTV camera keeping the DVR in the glove box, I'll see if I can find the link what I did.
