Title: Idiots and cars
Post by: Bryn on December 19, 2013, 04:57:14 PM
This just posted over on a car forum I frequent as a heads up to us bikers

"I know there are a few bikers on here so this is mainly for you.

Yesterday a BMW car was at a garage having a new diff fitted, one of the mechanics (a motorcyclist) noticed windscreen washer jets had been fitted to the insides of the rear wheel arches pointing at the tyres, they were fed by a reservoir/pump containing diesel.

The mechanic asked the owner about the 'modification'

Apparently the owner likes to go drifting and it enabled him to break traction easier

The mechanic asked him if he did this on the road

The owner said roundabouts were best, all his mates had the mod and it was great fun!

At this point the mechanic assaulted the owner

The mechanic was very naughty to do this  "

They walk amongst us.... Unfortunately  :censored:

:agree: totally , what a friggin nutter, I would have called the cops immediately, any way I reckon the mechanichas a legal duty of care to act on such activity

Just read through the original post... No real indication of where and if it was first hand account .....but I agree the police should have been involved if it did indeed happen

If that's true that is disgusting.

I've had cars operate the windscreen washers deliberately when I was behind them on the bike (clear weather & clean car).

maybe they thought I needed a bath.

one day I will pull one over and have a word.

Richard, I read it over on babybmw.net   ( 1 series BMW site)  others have asked for the link to the originator... seems it started on a Hayabusa forum which you can't view unless you're a member.....

Allegedly this happened in Dorset ......

There's  a few doubting the authenticity of it , can't say personally whether it happened or not
