Dynamic test kits with splash guard on the road with 3mm effect of water on the road surface, said inclination given to the splash guard front
dedurrere ago from the video less water spray because of the greater distance between the wheel and splash guard.

MG valerio.
I can see how the front fender extender would be very beneficial but how effective is the rear? If you have a hugger on you don't tend to get much excess water spray anyway.

Yes you do. Without it the topbox underside gets blasted with road muck.
The hugger just protects the shock and voltage regulator and reduces the spray that reaches the back of your thighs and shins.
It has no effect on the muck coming off the tyre at the back.
In the end I fitted the rear fender extender that Debs has and that solves it, although it's not the prettiest solution.

:agree:
I stand corrected then, I've just never noticed any adverse spray when I've been following another GTR.
MGvaleri.. As normal you have some great ideas  but the rear :shit: deflector doesn't seem wide enough to stop that much :shit: for the trouble it takes to make and fit it so :undecided: on that  the front fender extender seems to do a good job but you can buy neater looking fender extenders that are made to fit exactly to the front mudguard for £16.99 from powerbronse  also what's that piece of plastic hanging from the rear under the red reflector for :undecided:

Yes Steve, thats because you dont get spray when it's not raining  :whistling: .
If you want to see how ineffective a rear mudguard is, try a Triumph Explorer... SWMBO had a line of crud up her back from fling off the back wheel on a trip to France.....
Meanwhile last August.. 300 Miles in the pouring rain through Belgium on the GTR.. No such problems ...

Geoff you can't blame the man for preferring not to ride in the rain when he as one of those things that have 4 wheels and a big "sod off" cover over it  unless "one" :whistling: is  :mfr_lol:

Ciao 2kwacks
When I traveled on a wet road, I will reply with video clips, I think that tiny splash guard works miracles, because of aerodynamic downforce, will we see?
