Anyone know of a european stockist for the 90 degree valve stems?

Unfortunately postage is $40 which makes these very expensive!
Erm...why?
Surely they will prevent the tyre sensors working?
None they are manufactured by the same OEM.
LDL technologies which is a French Company.
Check out http://www.tire-watch.com
Unfortunately the OEM doesn't reply to a request to purchase
:hammer:
I think here: http://www.mynetmoto.com/motorradreifen_divers.cfm/ActiveTab/shopping/ActiveLink/2/Search/1/category/88/StartRow/0 (http://www.mynetmoto.com/motorradreifen_divers.cfm/ActiveTab/shopping/ActiveLink/2/Search/1/category/88/StartRow/0)
These are value stems with the TPS I think and without (part no S106010000A0)
Excellent...... Thanks for that.
But are they 8.mm or 11.5mm without having to take off the tyres!
:mfr_lol:
11.5 from the emails I've had from them
Maybe someone could setup a group buy.
I'd have a pair.
Put me down for a pair in Black please!
So we're saying that these will replace the oem ones and still work the tpms? ( sorry it's early :stupid:)

Yes
Yep they work fine. Saves having to muck around with those brass extensions.
As I remember the the TPS is seperate from the the stem. It's also sprung loaded to assist preventing damage if the tyre fitter clips it.
next time I change a tyre im going to do the battery replacement in the TPS and incorp the angle valve stem at the same time
Do the ones from Murph's also allow the TPS to continue to work or is just the ones from the second link?
Murph's are the same item.
Actually cheaper than buying them from Europe with free shipping if you are that side of the pond. But $40 minimum shipping back to Europe is his best rate. Offered to ship as many as required though!
you still have to remove the tyre, take out the Tps unit and swap the existing straight stem and replace with this 90 o stem. The tps is a separate unit that attaches itself to the stem wether straight or angled .

So the angled stem is nothing to do with the TPS unit...... Think I'll put up with the straight stems..... doesn't cause me that much bother... in fact the angled screw on extender has stayed unused in the tank storage box
this is what the TPS looks like ( although this one is in bits). it is a separate unit to the stem, however the stem goes through the hole and into your rim and basically pins the TPs to the inner face of the rim. So when you change your tps or change the batteries you can substitute the straight stem for the new angled stem rather than having the screw on adaptors perm which probably will effect the wheel balance .

The ones I've used on all my previous bikes are made by Bridgeport, and actually 87 degrees. Fitted into the rim when changing tyres, at 10 Nm if I'm not mistaken...
Don't think there is enough 'meat' on the internal face of these to mount the TPS though.
If you don't fit the TPS's, will the dash constantly give an error reading?
without the tps, t just shows a blank where it would show the actual psi.
the problem comes when you sell trade in the bike, new owner will want it and beat you up big time on the price , they have only got your word for it that everything is intact and working you don't need the ecu reprograming. you could take a £500 plus hit for this
There are new sensors now :

They are no longer compatible with the right angle valve stems sold by Murphs
.

Thanks for the photo.... I have a mate that builds radio controlled jet aircraft, so I'd imagine a bit of soldering won't stress him too much when the time comes

yes , that's right , the new sensors are a unit that can not be opened to replace the battery, if any bikes go into kawa for warranty battery replacement you will get these new style sensors and you are facing a lifetime of very expensive low battery issues.
Id stick with the old style sensors so at least the battery can be soldered in, even if it means not going ahead with the warranty claim. Kawasaki have really pulled a fast one with this !!
