A guy has designed this new phone to last longer than the current ones..

Will it catch on? You decide..

I think that is a damn good idea, but I do wonder how it will compete against the big companies already out there selling their phones Nokia, Samsung, Apple etc., I think the principle is very very good as not everyone wants loads of apps and social networking crap for example

I'm on contract with Vodafone, I wonder if they will ever offer phonebloks as an option, if they do I would go for one

I totally agree with OC, that seems to be a cracking idea.

Sounds like a PC to me.....

The personal computer is based on a shell......   With upgrade able parts.. And open source!

How many people upgrade their PC?    Or just buy a new one?

It only out of date... New graphics card, network card, mother board.....

It's not exactly new idea... And look how many problems we have with a PC. - and it's not the component that's the problem... They all work - but not with everything else...

And who controls the software?   Another issue.... Apple, Microsoft, etc etc etc.....

Great Idea, but being a realist with experience (a pessimist). Hasn't got a chance of making it work.  It will launch....   But making it work successfully with that amount of companies....  Not a hope....
