Holy crispy crap. I expect the driver and his family were very intimidated and the whole thing just escalated wildly out of control.
At least no fatalities and no  :2guns:.

The video is very alarming, more so for the way the bikers conducted themselves, like a pack of animals, the actions of the driver of the SUV, perfectly normal and on the face of it justifiable. The fact that no arrests have been made speaks volumes, the bikers own video footage is damning evidence of their appalling behaviour. I note that the annual meet has now been cancelled by the authorities.
Looks and sounds like what we call circumstances of duress.

- if you were driving that range and you did that to us over here , You better be able to drive really fast into the nearest police station because if you stop or are stopped before that , you'd be invited out of your vehicle for an exchange of words.

- running over those bikers like that is akin to using your vehicle as a weapon.

- looking at the vid immediately prior to the "bump" , my educated guess is that there was already something going on with the driver of that car and the bikers.

The newspaper article says there was an accident prior to the video starting involving the RR and a bike/s. The driver will have been spooked [possibly by the actions of the bikers] and reacted in fear of his familys safety. I would of done the same, my family comes first, way before the people he may of perceived were threatening him and trashing some bikes. If the driver or the bikers had a firearm all sorts of crap could of happened.

On a similar vein, does anyone know the outcome of the complaint made against the  idiot Traffic cop overtaking the memorial ride in Dorset this summer to have a go at the escorts. I would dearly like to know if any action were taken against the clown.

I've watched that video on other bike forums. I 'm struggling to find any of the actions by the bikers or the Range Rover driver either justifiable or normal  :ohplease:

Moron central. If the idiot RR driver had pulled over and apologised chances are nothing further would have happened.
If the idiot bike riders had just taken his plate and reported a hit-and-run the RR driver would have been busted.
But as usual the stupidity of all involved escalated it all into a multiple RTA with several injuries and hopefully several arrests.
:censored:wits the lot of them!

I gather from reading the article fully that the Police confirmed nobody was injured contrary to the original report.

I see this video is everywhere now. Break have an extended version of it, six and a half minutes long and it still paints the image that the bikers are at fault. Almost 300 comments, many from bikers themselves and they still see the bikers at fault.

I'm curious as to how it ended as the bikers were smashing their way through the windows into the vehicle, must have been extremely frightening for the family within the vehicle including the very young child.

It's all been sorted.. I was one of the Marshalls but not involved in the incident that happened behind me, but I did walk up to where he was being a knob.. I had a call from the inspector who was investigating it as I had made a complaint.. The copper was given words of advice about his attitude towards us, but he also threw it back in our faces by saying "riding in a large group will only hold up other road users and give us a bad name" plus he moaned about other things. I accepted the coppers outcome and left it at that..

I don't bother offering to be a Marshall anymore.. It's more trouble than it's worth..

I dunno how to feel about this really.

That's a large group of bikers.  One could also say that a bike would normally be surrounded by a large group of cars, but no, in this case the bikers presumable were all going somewhere together so were in a 'pack' for want of a better word.

This would be intimidating to anybody not used to seeing such large numbers of bikes, that were presumable also making a lot of 'unusual noise' due to, again, presumably, not everyone having stock exhaust...

If something happens, then all the other bikers will react to support their friend.  This will be MOST intimidating, not least of all because the driver of the car can't see their faces.  He can't see their expressions.  Can't judge what their state of mind is, can't recognise them in a line up etc.

Clearly, this escalated totally out of control after what would most likely have been panic on behalf of the Rangey driver.  I mean, I don't know what state of mind you have to be in to do that, but if the only way out is just to go, then even in a Fiat 500, you'd have a go.  It turns out, he had a bloody big vehicle, but I don't think that has any relevance here.

What was more of an absolute disgrace than the rest of this awful footage, was the smashing of the windscreen of the car with a helmet.

Just what the :censored: did he hope to achieve by that?  They have video footage, they have the reg number, they have a driver that is clearly capable of using his vehicle as a weapon when provoked, why continue?

Makes no sense to me.

Just my 2p
