As the date gets nearer I am considering going again this year. I want to get a textile jacket & pair of good fitting trousers.

Yes, usually about four of us drive up in the car on a midweek day as generally it's a bit quieter, not sure of which day yet will have to consult with the others.

Friday 29th for me ... shifts and all that it looks like I can take that on a Rest Day and "protect it" .. we call it a VIP day so you are 99.9% sure of being able to have it off ....

Usually ride up at the weekend but this year have decided to take a day off work as I have been fed up with the crowds over the last two years.

Asif, last year I looked at getting the train down there and the fare was over a £100! Sod that I drove instead.

No Steve, went in the car with a mate. We actually went to a presentation by Austin Vince on Sunday night in Sheffield, great bloke, stopped overnight and did NEC from Sheffield.
If anyone gets chance to see Austin by the way - do it. He is brilliant, funny and entertaining
I went to Motorcycle Live yesterday and thought that, as usual it was very good. It did seem, however to be much busier than I have found in the past, with the whole show feeling much more like the first weekend rather than a midweek day.
My brother managed to buy a lovely brown leather jacket at 50 % off and a Roof flip - front helmet for £70.00 less than retail, so well worth the effort.
On the way down and back we stopped for food and were told that the numbers in Little Chef's that were some 40 - 50 miles away were people going to and from the show, so it does seem that it is more popular than ever!
