Not sure if I've got the hang of this yet but I'm looking for advise - can anyone recommend the best tyres for the GTR?
Mainly A road use, a bit of motorway (only when unavoidable), mainly 1 up with panniers loaded, occasional pillion.
Thanks

Hi Martin,
IMHO - cant do better than a set of PR3's. Fitted a set a month ago, just did 3.5k miles around Europe, mountain passes and motorways etc. still with loads of meat left on them and the feel and grip is superb.

PR3s. You won't look back
:agree: :agree: PR3's are good set of tyres
I also refer you to the comments in http://www.gtr1400.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,3299.0.html (http://www.gtr1400.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,3299.0.html)
Hey MartinC I am also in Oxfordshire, Eynsham to be precise, any info you need this place is excellent, and you can always give me a shout as well.
Alan
This is such a debateable question.....
PR3's, Angel's, PR2's, BT023's, Z6's, Z8's
Metzerler, Bridgestone, Pirelli, Michelin, Dunlop......
What do you like? What in your head, gives you the confidence to achieve peg scrapping lean angles?
Unless your exceptionally good, or are completely hamfisted you will not out perform any mainstream tyre.
However, you will feel a personal likeness towards one brand. ... Mine is Metzerler.... And I won't touch Dunlop....... But that's my choice......
Give all a try and see what you like......and this applies to all bikes - not just the GTR.....
FIX RIDER BEFORE YOU FIX THE BIKE. :-)

 Thank you to everyone who took the time and trouble to reply - I will take note, try them out and report back!
Ta very much
PR3's being fitted on mine Saturday morning. £270 ride-in/ride-out. Fitter is fully aware of pressure sensors. I'll post my opinion (as if i know what I'm talking about LOL) when they're scrubbed in.
