No, it's a Tiger Moth.....
To see that in the air is a beautiful sight
Yes, its the only one in the world that flies.. great sight and incredible sound.
When my Dad was in the Air Force and we lived in Scampton we used to have an air base just at the bottom of the road and the Vulcans were based there.

Vulcan is still an all time beautiful plane I only ever saw one once , flying from Samelsbury near Blackburn , but that was back in the 80s
The iconic Vulcan. I've protected many as a young lad when they were part of our nuclear deterrent. They were loud!! Helped during the Falklands conflict with bombing airfields. Claim to fame is: just happens to be on board a VC10 tanker going somewhere when it refuelled a Vulcan mid air. Didn't see much of it though.
I wonder how many miles they get to the gallon, though.
I bet you could run a GTR half way around the world with the fuel they use just to taxi before take off. :mfr_lol:
I regualry saw them lying low over the north east many years ago. Last time i saw one in the air was in 1986 at the air show at Brands Hatch British GP.
It was worth the drive to Finningley to see it, as its possibe that this may be its last year in the air.
Here's my youtube film.

Great video.
Was doing a stop check down a country lane in about 1992 (yes probably the last stop I did..) when a Vulcan went overhead at only a few hundred feet having flown past the airport, a very impressive/scary sight.
It was like the world was ending...
A stunning aircraft.
