I am hoping to visit Poole Bike Night on the 13th August, as part of a short break on the bike. I am considering staying at the Holiday Inn Express near to the quay, can Debs (or anyone else living locally) advise on the safety of parking in the hotel car park in that part of town? I shall be on the GTR.
Any other advice or recommendations for a local hotel with safe parking appreciated.
Many thanks!
I have no idea about the parking there.. I live on the edge of Poole near Bournemouth.
How long do you intend to come down for?
You could give these a ring..

Debs, many thanks. I would probably arrive early afternoon Tuesday and head home on the Wednesday, as I will be riding in Wales with my brother on the weekend beforehand and calling in to my Mother's on the way down.
How did you get on?
I,m a regular on Tuesdays on the Quay
Cracking selection of bikes to admire, fish and chips, and a pint of shandy, heaven, bar the shandy obviously but we are driving :whistling:
Quite a few GTRs on Tuesday for a change
Well, unfortunately (or otherwise) there is a change of plan! I intended to call in at a classic bike dealer in Somerset and view another "oldie" to possibly add to my (rather small) colection of 70's machines and then visit Bike Night at Poole on the 13th, before heading home next day.
The bike that I thought that I might buy however, attracted someone else's attention as well and, having recently lost out on the purchase of another similar machine as I could not find time to view it, I have bought this one from photographs provided by the seller. It is due to arrive on Monday or Tuesday of next week, having made the journey (by van) from the dealer to Rotherham (the transport company's holding depot) on Wednesday last. Obviously, I will need to be here to inspect it on arrival.
Anyway, off to Donington on the GTR tomorrow for the classic bike fest!
Burchy. your basically up the road! :listencarefully:
Only been once, quite a ride from Bristol on an evening.

Nice looking colour that, out of interest when they take your photo, how do they get in touch with you or alternatively how do you get in touch with them and identify which pic is yours?
