On a run today my mate spotted a leaking fork seal. I cleaned the bike yesterday and it was fine. Has anyone else had their fork seals done?. Can it be done without a major strip down of the failing? Thanks.
I contacted my nearest Kawasaki dealer after remembering that I had the extened warranty. They won't do the job as it's a wear and tear item. Quoted me 250 - 300 for the job. No thanks, local bike mechanic will get the job.
Bloody hell, how many hours labour did they quote you for?
wear and tear item? in that case does that mean everything else is a wear and tear item? would love to know what the warranty covers then

There probably isn't a definitive list, many GTR owners appear to have experienced different responses from different dealers but strangely for the same issues, that's reassuring eh?
Kirkcaldy Kawasaki told me that Kawasaki wouldn't do the job. The price was including two hours labour, so, seals will be about £20, don't know how much the oil is but even if I guess that seals and oil might be about £40 it adds up a hell of a price for tw hours work.

It will be a wear and tear item, the bike is a 2009 model, the terms of the extended warranty will be covered within the respective paperwork
