Ummmm bastard skamming scum bag :shit:
That's mine, and I saw it lurking in its room in the Hall only 15 mins ago :mfr_lol:
I have bid, and am winning
Can a few members ask the seller some questions, maybe someone down that area can go and see it :mfr_lol: I expect it will be in storage or something and can not be seen but will be delivered by carrier after payment ..........
I've asked to see it this weekend before bidding!!
Report the 'seller' to e-bay
I also have asked to see the bike before making a bid, and i also asked how he could attach the second pannier with the exhaust where it is.
we shall see.
Alan
Hi
I forgot in my mild excitement to thank Neil for spotting it.
Its a 3 day auction so will end before the weekend, I asked if I can see it Thursday, no response so far
Will report it to Ebay, from past experience where I reported an item I knew didn't belong to the seller the 10 day auction ran to the end, and 2 weeks after I got a message from Ebay saying they were not sure about the listing and to be careful......
Richard
I've just offered him £15k cash for it. The jokes on him cos I don't have £15k but then he doesn't have the :censored: trike. :mfr_lol:

This item is a scam
This trike belongs to me
Roxane C.
It appears that you've made a bid on the item?
here-in-wales
I have
here-in-wales
I intend winning if it is not removed so someone else does not get conned
here-in-wales
It is my trike, I bought it in February this year
here-in-wales
It had been listed on Ebay, I bought it privatly
here-in-wales
The pictures are from the original listing
here-in-wales
?
Roxane C.
Just to confirm, the seller has listed the item using your image or your item was stolen?
here-in-wales
He has used images from the previous ebay listing, Jan / Feb this year
here-in-wales
The trike is not stolen, its in my garage
here-in-wales
I am not selling it
Roxane C.
In order to investigate this matter, I'd require the item number of your listing.
here-in-wales
The previous owner listed it on ebay, and I bid on it but did not reach the reserve
here-in-wales
I have not got a listing?
Roxane C.
We recommend you to inform the original owner of the listings about the potential breach and ask them to write to us. The owner may be able to provide some more evidence to us which will help us to investigate further.
here-in-wales
Why would I contact the last owner?
here-in-wales
I own it
Roxane C.
Are the images taken by you?
here-in-wales
No
here-in-wales
By the previous owner
here-in-wales
He listed it on ebay
Roxane C.
Then you need to contact them to report the item.
here-in-wales
Why?
here-in-wales
They do not own the item now, I do
here-in-wales
The seller has listed my trike
Roxane C.
I understand that however as the images taken by them, they need to report the item.
here-in-wales
That does not make sense
here-in-wales
So you are not going to do anything about the listing, when it is a scam
here-in-wales
http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/normo901?_trksid=p2047675.l2559
here-in-wales

here-in-wales
now another person is running a scam auction, with pictures of my trike
Roxane C.
We can only take action on the listings for Image and Text theft issue when the report is being sent by the owner of the original listing as it is possible that the owner might have given the rights to the other member to use the image/text.
here-in-wales
The images are not the issue, it is my trike
here-in-wales
it is uneque
here-in-wales
there is only one of them and I have it
here-in-wales
The description is of my trike
The mileage shown is the mileage it had on it when I bought it
Its a scam
Roxane C.
I understand that however as the seller has taken the image/text from the original owner, they need to report the item. Or, if you wish I'll escalate the issue.
here-in-wales
yes please escalate the issue
Roxane C.
Sure. Thank you for your cooperation. I appreciate your understanding.
here-in-wales
I don't think you are understanding me, listing 251302015092 is a scam, they are trying to sell MY trike

Hello, Richard.
here-in-wales
hi
Jasmine Brennan
I've reviewed your discussion with our previous representative, and based on my understanding you want to report the item as you are the right owner of this and not the seller, is that right?
here-in-wales
yes
here-in-wales
It is my trike, it is unique, there is only one, its mine and I am not selling it
Jasmine Brennan
I understand where you're coming from and I commend you for doing the right thing in bringing this up to our attention.
Jasmine Brennan
Richard, we're always concerned about policy violations, so I do appreciate your report about this member and I want to assure you that we'll look into this and take appropriate action necessary based on our site rules.
Jasmine Brennan
They can range from issuing the seller an informational alert, a temporary suspension, an indefinite suspension or terminating the member's account.
Jasmine Brennan
Aside from this, you can also click the 'report item' button on the right side of the listing page.
here-in-wales
How about reporting them to the police
here-in-wales
they are clearly trying to carry out fraud
here-in-wales
I have clicked the report item, the last time I did this with another trike which I new was not for sale the 10 day listing still finished
Jasmine Brennan
Yes, you can do that as well, we're happy to help with the investigation if needed - police officers can email us using the "report information to eBay" link on this page:
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/safetycentre/law_enforcement.html
here-in-wales
and over 2 weeks later ebay emailed me to say they thought it was suspicious
here-in-wales
you should report it to the police, its on your site
Jasmine Brennan
I can certainly understand how frustrating this experience can be for you. But rest assured that we have strict guidelines for members who don't fulfil their obligations on eBay, or who otherwise break eBay rules to ensure eBay remains a safe and reputable place to buy and sell.
Jasmine Brennan
And I'm afraid we can't contact the police on your behalf to report this, but we will provide the necessary information once they contacted us on the link I mentioned.

Not at all, and thank you for letting me know.
ive got a " spare " ebay account that i can use to hammer up the price, a few years back a similair thing happened to guy on the zzr site, we got his item up to 1 Million, im gonna go on a put 20k on the trike , does anyone want to trump me
ok
" ihearlittlevoices " has got it up to 15100, lets get it up to a million , the worst the seller can do is file an non payer dispute against you, dont be scared !
guy has just blocked my 20k bid, so its back down to £1000. just go up in small increments
It's gone from eBay, I had a bid of £15000 but received an email saying my bid had been cancelled. The listing has ended.
Shame we could have had some fun.
Alan
Yep, its gone.
I wonder if ebay contacted him, or the police, or he just bottled it or ?
i regularley check the e bay motorcycles for sale in the newly listed items, keep your eyes open and you will see this scammer again ,he will use a different name, and will have a selling score of 0, i have bought several bikes from e bay and have always received what has been advertised, and never ever had a bad bike yet,,i have reported scammers like this before myself, they remove the advert , but after a while they return, generally they copy bikes that are for sale from dealers they use there description and photos but put rediculously low prices in. i wonder if they have ever got away with this scam before ,and someone has actually parted with there cash and obviuosly never seen a bike at the end of it ? so if we all keep our eyes open we may see this scam again, see who can spot one first!!
Maybe some poor sucker is transfering £2500.00 to him as we type :death:
I might be thick but why would any sane person transfer money to anybody else BEFORE seeing the bike? Or anything for sale for that matter when it's a high value? And especially someone with a zero rating.
I have been on eBay since 1999 and have a full 100% record and always check out others feedback.
Alan

Pass, but as someone said for people to do this it must work sometimes?
£2500.00 for a £9000.00+ trike, tempting.......
The first thing I ever sold on ebay was a 1920s electricity meter, made by Dr Aeron, my feedback was below 10, I was expecting £50 or something, it went for over £3000.00 to a collector in the USA, paid by bank transfer, lots of trust involved.
Bigal, the scam works because the seller usually offers something at an unbelievably low price. They will get loads of messages sometimes outside eBay, telephone or email etc. They will agree to sell the bike many times and to many people making much money in the process and then just disappear. I got fleeced a month or two back on eBay but I managed to get my money back, I suggested to eBay they report the seller to the Police but they weren't interested. My seller fleeced a number of people in the space of a couple of weeks.
Hi

Looks like Deb's warning scared him off.
Damm... just when i thought a trike might be the answer to my aching knee!! :mfr_lol:
So, the story so far: -
Reported to Ebay - waste of time. 1hr, 5 different people and they don't care. Because the scammer used the last owners pictures, if I contacted him and got him to complain they would do something because the scammer stole the pictures!
Reported to police - took notes and said they would get back to me, next day advised me to report it to "actionfraud police"
Actionfraud police - fill in an online form with all the info.
From talking to an agent on the live chat help they will use the info to compile statistics, but wont actually do anything.
So as I type some poor sucker may be sending the scammer £££ for a trike that will never turn up, and no one wants to do anything about it.
And now the same seller is selling a Linde Forklift, this has got to be another scam....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Forklift-Linde-H30-T-/251303403801?pt=UK_Lifting_Moving_Equipment&hash=item3a82d9a119#ht_490wt_1170
I've just sent him the below message...
Hi, I see you are selling this forklift truck, you recently had for sale a trike which I know for a fact you did not own or were not even in possession of as I know the owner and even the legal, current owner of the trike contacted you and in respect of that you have been reported to the Police who are currently working with eBay to obtain your details and speak to you in relation to that fraud. This sale has also been reported to eBay in order to protect any other potential victims and if it discovered that you do not actually own this forklift truck then that is another matter which no doubt will be investigated by the Police.
Lets see what happens shall we?

And the police? :lipsrsealed:
mecki, I think if you save the seller as a favourite seller and they then change their user name ebay automatically notifies you. So you can follow them for all eternity. If my message encourages them to withdraw their ad and prevent the current bidder who I think has bid £2k from parting with their hard earned cash, then I'll consider that a small victory regardless of the bigger picture.
The fact that this scammer has a big fat '0' as feedback will no doubt slow down any potential bidders...it certaianly would me.
As Mecki says e-bay don't give a :shit:

If the scammer is stupid enough to use his real name you might be right, but most likely he is using a stolen or fake identity anyway.
So what stops him from opening a new account under a different name if he doesn't have a dozen or more already?
Nothing!
Yeez Steve, and you do
what for a living?
Mecki, as you don't have an eBay account I will not waste time explaining the logistics of registering with eBay especially where you expect to receive payment for goods via PayPal. Needless to say there are many ways to ID someone on eBay just as there are on You Tube and such like.
you can open as many ids as you want on ebay, but they will all have the same IP address which in ebays eyes are actually as one , its the IP they ban not the ID, so sorry mecki you are misinformed again.
Of course the scammer may have access to multiple IPs , you will never stop that sort of scammer anyway.

Since when has every internet user a fixed IP address?
I haven't and most likely you haven't either if you use DHCP.
If we all had a unique IP we would have run out of addresses some time ago.
Every time you connect to the internet your provider gives you different IP address for the session.
To find out who is or has been using a particular IP address at any given time you will need to ask the ISP or Big Brother.
And if you use a proxy server as every scammer with half a brain would even the NSA has problems to nail you down.

In life there are some people whom you can tell just about anything and they'll believe it.
You are lucky and have me.
Do you actually have any idea what an IP address is and what it is good for? :smartass:
If what Viper told us and you immediately believed was the truth the internet wouldn't work.
If you have more than one PC just connect both to the net and check the IP addresses.
You will see that each PC has it's own IP address.
Or you could turn your router or modem off for more than 5 minutes, connect again and check your IP address.
Most likely you'll have a different one than the one you had before.
Try to access the net on somebody else's PC, an internet cafe or a hotspot like the airport, McDonalds etc.
Check the IP address and you'll find it will be different every time.
Now what would you think will happen if you go to the Fleabay website and open a new account.
Do you really believe that they miraculously find
"your" IP address?
Of course they don't!  :sleep1:
that is the first time i have heard of that ,i was led to believe you have an ip adress and that is yours to go with your computer / internet provider, if i have trouble with my connections one of the first things my supllier checks is my ip adress , not saying you are wrong but i am sure someone will come along and clarify this .
Obviously I don't work in IT. I understand there are static IP addresses and ones that aren't static, not sure what they are called, roaming? Who knows, our CCTV system has a static IP address and I know that if I put that static IP address into my settings I can view my home CCTV from a place other than my home address. If it changed when I wasn't at home I wouldn't be able to access it and as I wasn't at home I wouldn't be able to see what it was which would sort of defeat the point of having remote Internet access to my CCTV. Now I'm really confused.
I don't understand all this IT stuff and I don't need to, if I get stuck with something I call my personal technician, Asif. :mfr_lol:
if you have a static IP address it never changes even when you disconnect , how come online peodos can be tracked to their house , how come ebay can ban you even if you change your ID , how come we can ban spammers who come on here
Quote from: viper on July 15, 2013, 10:40:50 PM
if you have a static IP address it never changes even when you disconnect , how come online peodos can be tracked to their house , how come ebay can ban you even if you change your ID , how come we can ban spammers who come on here
Let me explain this. Servers need static IP addresses so you can find them when you want to send a request to them. This is managed through the URL (i.e. http::/www.gtr1400.co.uk) which points to an IP address of a server. As a client you only need a return address so the server has an address to send the answer to your request to. This doesn't have to be static since it is part of the header of every data package you send.
IP addresses are allocated by ISP (Internet Service Providers) like BT, Sky, Plusnet etc. using DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) which assigns an IP address out of their allocated pool to you. If you go and check your current IP address (just google ip address) you will find that it tells you the ISP but not who you are.
If you use a WAN router this will have 1 IP address assigned as long as it is switched on and connected to the ISP. It will give that address to the first client that connects. When you switch it off it will loose that IP address after about 5 minutes. Depending on the DHCP policy of your ISP you may get the same address every time but that is normally not the case. Now if you connect a second computer through that WAN this computer will need it's own IP address since how else can the router know to which client to send received message. So the router will send a DHCP request to the ISP to allocate a new IP address for this client.
To answer your question - The ISP knows who you are and where you live - after all they send you a bill - and since every message gets recorded on every node of the internet it is possible to trace a connection if you have access to the network.
mecki i have no idea what you just said , but i believe you :mfr_lol:
So therefore mecki, based on your own explanation an individual can be traced through their internet connection. "I've No More Questions To Ask M'Lord"
Well I have got thoroughly confused by all of the above, but personally, I believe......... I will have another beer

Well I have got thoroughly confused by all of the above, but personally, I believe......... I will have another beer
Now that sounds like a plan................. :mfr_lol:
Using Police/GCHQ methods, yes, an individual can sometimes be traced back to their computer, but most crooks with even a micron of intelligence will be using at least one and probably more than one cut-outs. You can use Proxy servers, web proxies, buy access to a compromised Bot-net PC (some cheapskate who is too cheap to buy decent antivirus for his PC and thus is infected and "owned" by a Bot-net herder) and several other more obscure methods.
If I didn't want you to know my IP address, you would not know it and even GCHQ and the NSA would have difficulty tracing it.
As for the FleaBay scammers, if FleaBay wants to throw away half it's income to scammers, so be it.
If idiot buyers are willing to part with that kind of cash without some kind of guarantees, then they are too stupid to be rich.
On FleaBay, trust no-one with more money than you are willing to lose.
If I bought a car or bike from there it would be cash on pickup or delivery ONLY, and I'd check the paperwork and do an HPI check before they got any of that.

So therefore mecki, based on your own explanation an individual can be traced through their internet connection. "I've No More Questions To Ask M'Lord"
No the individual user cannot be traced! Only the location (phone line, cellphone tower triangulation) the connection originated from and you need much more than just the IP address to do that. :smartass:
Unless you hack into their computer you need the cooperation of the ISP so they give you access to their data which they don't because it is illegal without a warrant.
I doubt that Fleabay is routinely breaking the law just to make sure that nobody opens more than one account with them.
As we all know they don't give a :shit: .
Is that so hard to understand?
:offtopic: Keep your bikes undersafe lock and key I say, and TBH I don't give a fcuk about servers and the like :beta1:

i was thinking that, i thought meckis case was that they could all be anonymous, now he says they can be traced, which was my original point
Is that so hard to understand?
No, Viper, your point was that Fleabay would simply use the IP address to see if someone already has an account with them and automatically inform all users who 'follow' a seller that this new account belongs to the same seller as well.
Secret Services like the NSA, GCHQ either have more or less 'legal' access to the data held on the computers of Internet Service Providers or have hacked into internet hubs and monitor and record all traffic on the net employing tens of Thousands of people using acres of computers costing Billions. So they may be able to 'trace' from which location internet requests originated but that Fleabay does the same is simply bull :shit: .
