Title: warranty/claim
Post by: tapps on June 22, 2013, 11:08:12 AM
i went to my dealers to book in advance the 7.5k service, while i was there i mentioned for the 2nd time that the rev counter/speedo still had a water droplet in both on the bottom on the inside & that i'm not happy about it,the 1st time i mentioned it to them there reply was it's rained for the last 6 month's you are not the only one to have this problem.i told him yesterday when the bike's in the sun it look's worse they steam up on the inside.he told me yesterday that they are not sealed units & that kawasaki may not take this as a warranty claim.i told the guy you are not going to fob me off as before & that it need's sorting out.booked in on july 12th for the service,so i'll have to wait to see what the outcome is.

why not speak to Kawasaki  UK about the problem and the dealer response.

When I first got my 2009 and it was out in the sun I got the same thing... Left it a few hours and it evaporated.. Then had it ACF 50'd by all year biker..  I mentioned it and he said the fact he'd wiped the clocks around with the stuff would solve the problem...

That was last October... Yet to see any more condensation

Its always been a bit of an issue with GTRs, I remember my first one in 2008 performed a simular trick, and my last one 2011 was just the same on hot days...in fact whilst in the Somme last August the figures on the gauges of my GTR almost faded away due to the bike being left in direct sunlight

My latest bike has a digital speedo readout and analogue Rev counter  :whistling:
