Well, after much planning ( not by me obviously ! ) and much excitement I finished work yesterday to start a few days Annual Leave. Panniers packed, not with much though, and a tank of fuel this morning I headed North to somewhere called Bradford .... Steve lives here ( crikey ! ) .... Well someone has to ... And here I find myself being very well looked after and pampered by "The Wolfes" .....
In the early hours of tomorrow we are off to the west side of Scotland taking in beautiful scenery, historic sites and hopefully some fine Scottish hospitality. Mr Wolf .... Steve .... Will be in charge of most things ... Photos, posts and general directions whilst I take it all in and enjoy ! It will no doubt be a cracking few days and we hope to keep you posted with a daily drip feed of our adventures ......
Lets just hope it stays dry !!! :mfr_lol:
Good luck, ride safe and enjoy fellas.
Plenty pics are expected when you return
Have a good trip fellas. Enjoy the scenery, fantastic roads, friendly people, the occasional wee dram .... :censored:rds.
Well done Rusty for getting yourself further north than Watford Gap... Be careful you dont get a nose bleed.. :mfr_lol:
Rusty, LW,
Have a brilliant time, ride safe, and enjoy the wonderful scenery
SB
I was thinking that we should really expect you both to provide a daily update, so I hope you've got your notebooks and pencils with you
Enjoy

Up where they are going high speed communications are still done with pigeons. :mfr_lol:
Have fun guys and sink a malt and a pint for me at the Applecross Inn.
OC it goes without saying that there will be updates daily. We're currently at Loch Lomond enjoying an ice cream
If you do the West coast and Fort William going via Kinlochleven is a must!
IMO one of the best roads in Scotland.

LW I hope that's not what you call an update... :mfr_lol:
There will be more. We're settled in the hotel now, just need to upload some pics to photobucket and then get them on here.
Well day one is drawing to a close. I'm sat here in a lovely hotel in Glencoe opposite Rusty, we've just had some locally produced beef which was terrific and now its time to put a few pics on of what we've been doing today.
We set off at 6am from Bradford this morning, first stop of the day was Kirkby Lonsdale and it was deserted, even the snack bar was closed. Rusty kept saying, "Did you see those sheep, did you see those fields". I tried to tell him that it was nothing special but it seems he's not used to seeing such sights.
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/image_zps39af1cc0.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/image_zps39af1cc0.jpg.html)
We had a bit of drizzle on route to The Bridge but nothing too bad. Next stop the M6, yes the M6 Geoff. Again Rusty was shocked at how little traffic there was on it. We made good progress travelling North avoiding the lens of a speed camera on one of the bridges.
First fuel stop was at Abingdon, Rusty went into the lorry park and suddenly realised the GTR doesn't run on diesel so sheepishly returned to where he should have been in the first place. The bikes returning 58 mpg so far which is pretty good considering the pace we were setting.

As we entered Scotland Rusty let out a triumph "Yes" and threw his fist up in the air, he was getting giddy, I can see I'm going to have to keep an eye on him over the next few days!
We had some inspiring overtakes on sweeping roads and made really good time before stopping at Tarbet in Loch Lomond for an ice cream. We had an 88 as opposed to a 99 because the assistant had run out of flakes so put a kit Kat stick in instead.
There were some local bobbies there relaxing after a hard days graft cycling around who we got talking to. In fairness they did explain the dangers of working where they did and to be honest I could relate to what they were saying.
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/image_zps0bc751f9.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/image_zps0bc751f9.jpg.html)
We then decided that we'd take the GTR's down by the Loch to try and do an arty shot, as usual Rusty couldn't help but perform for the camera.

I have to say at this point that the GTR has been outstanding on the trip, totally awesome, and met every demand asked of it. It's just a shame that its filthy now, hopefully it'll rain and wash some of the crap off.
We made our way into the Trossachs where after stopping for some directions at a local garage we saw this German couple on an interesting bike and sidecar rig.

That beard is a bit wild!
Our Police friends who we had met earlier warned us that there was a mobile speed camera on route to Glencoe on the long straight section which could pick you off at over 3 kilometres. That's something not to be taken lightly so we trundled along at a steady rate as we entered the Scottish Highlands.
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/image_zpsb9ae9c18.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/image_zpsb9ae9c18.jpg.html)
Further down the road there had been a nasty accident where a biker had been t-boned by a car and who had to be airlifted to hospital. Hopefully he will be ok, his mate said it was more of a precaution than anything else as he had banged his head on the car. Fingers crossed he's back home now, safe and well.
As we approached the village of Glencoe we pulled over for a few photo opportunities, Rusty insisted that his bike be in the foreground, something to do with green ones being better!
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/image_zpsd41d2c1a.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/image_zpsd41d2c1a.jpg.html)
Did I mention earlier that Rusty was in a constant state of giddiness?
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/image_zpsc4f629a7.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/image_zpsc4f629a7.jpg.html)
This is a typical view looking up one of the valleys as you near Glencoe village. Possibly the photo doesn't do the scene justice but it was awesome.
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/image_zps8475f68a.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/image_zps8475f68a.jpg.html)
We struggled to find our hotel and tried to book into another one with a similar sounding name before the receptionist informed us that we definitely did not have a booking at her hotel. Eventually we pulled up in a lay by and rang the hotel asking for directions, when asked where we were now and we provided a landmark, the receptionist informed us that we were outside the hotel! How stupid did we feel, personally I blame Rusty as he didn't see the four inch squared brass plate by the hotel door as we drive past.
A few drinks, some decent food and that was us settled for the evening. The following morning, the weather was reasonable & I found Rusty outside surveying the traffic and having a cuppa.

We asked the waitress to take a piccy, bit blurred but it's better than the attempt of the guy at The Bridge who couldn't master pressing the shutter.
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/DSCN1299_zps2d779380.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/DSCN1299_zps2d779380.jpg.html)
After our Scottish brekkie we headed out to Fort William and Spean Bridge stopping at the Commando Memorial. You could say it was raining a bit!
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/image_zps48e2743c.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/image_zps48e2743c.jpg.html)
Next port of call was Eilean Donan Castle before heading to our accommodation in Skye.
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/153_zps0c9c8b0f.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/153_zps0c9c8b0f.jpg.html)
From Eilean Donan we used the Glenelg Ferry.
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/DSCN1309_zps10206c25.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/DSCN1309_zps10206c25.jpg.html)
Eight miles down a single track lane which twisted like a snake, riddled with pebbles and my glasses were steaming up. It wasn't an easy journey to the ferry.
I have to admit I was apprehensive about getting the GTR on the ferry. Riding up the slippery metal ramp, parking the GTR on the saturated wooden planks which rattled as each car drove onto the ferry and then everything in reverse at the other side. I have to admit I was glad when we landed on the other side!
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/DSCN1312_zps9d776fab.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/DSCN1312_zps9d776fab.jpg.html)
Even the staff on the boat didn't seem to be enjoying the weather.
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/DSCN1313_zps786f2703.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/DSCN1313_zps786f2703.jpg.html)
So now on the Isle of Skye we headed to Tallisker Distillery which was pretty close to the hotel we were staying at. Two bottles of the local syrup purchased and time to head to the hotel.
The Sligachan Hotel, I couldn't believe the size of the rooms, they were massive.

More drinks and local pheasant was eaten before returning next door to the main hotel where Rusty noticed his bike was toppling over. Must be a green thing cause mine was right next to it and stable as anything.
Midges, bloody midges were everywhere. A quick trip opposite the hotel to the river where I tried to take an arty photo or two.
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/ViewfromSligachan1_zps675515d3.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/ViewfromSligachan1_zps675515d3.jpg.html)

Have to admit I was happy with those.
The following morning another fry up was scoffed while keeping a watchful eye on the bikes.

From Skye we headed back down the A82 towards Culloden battlefield and then out towards Fort George. Now although Fort George was only 5 miles from Culloden battlefield we did a 60 round trip didn't we Rusty. Sat nav's are bloody brilliant aren't they?
Late afternoon we landed at our next accommodation at West Lewiston, Glen Rowan, run by a retired DS. I've stayed before and very pleasant it is too. It must be on the quietest street in Scotland.

Lovely gardens with a trout river at the bottom. Although the odd salmon has been known to wander up apparently.
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/DSCN13262_zpsb64206b5.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/DSCN13262_zpsb64206b5.jpg.html)
The owner Alistair and his wife Vanessa are more than happy for us bikers to put their machines in his large double garage and he has a drying room should you need it. Very reasonable rates too.
Evening meal at the Lochness Inn just further down the street, beautiful soup starter, Cullen Sciven I think it was called and then a big juicy steak to finish off with.

Breakfast was described as a Scottish heart attack, (by Alistair), not us I hasten to add.

Saying goodbye, he's a keen biker is Alistair but understandably with the business he doesn't get out as much as he would like.
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/DSCN1336_zps876fff61.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/DSCN1336_zps876fff61.jpg.html)
From West Lewiston we had about 250 miles to do to reach a favourite haunt of mine, Portpatrick on the West Coast.
The Waterfront Hotel. A Gem as Rusty described it.
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/DSCN1342_zps43ecdd09.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/DSCN1342_zps43ecdd09.jpg.html)
This cute little dog was quite fond of my GTR, Rusty will no doubt put the other half of the photo on soon.

I cant remember exactly what time we got back to my place, we stopped off at The Bridge to wait for someone.....but they never showed up.
The stats. Total mileage and MPG not that I was that bothered about the MPG it's just the way things worked out.
(http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/Jaffa_Cake101/Scotland%202013/FactsampFigures_zps2f6d58df.jpg) (http://s151.photobucket.com/user/Jaffa_Cake101/media/Scotland%202013/FactsampFigures_zps2f6d58df.jpg.html)
I couldn't let Rusty go home without having a proper Bradford curry so that's exactly what we did. You can't beat a bit of curry with your naan bread can you?

Well Steve has done the usual cracking write up ... Me ? Spent an hour or so doing the same only to find that my pictures are massive and I can't paste them over to the forum ... I blame this sodding iPad ( like all things, it's fantastic most of the time ! ) but of course the problem is me and my thick fingers ... The final straw ..... ? ..... me deleting what I had just written so before I throw my teddy in the corner and this IPad into the Loch I shall bid you all a good night and when Steve has stopped giggling at my incompetence I may just find the time to post something about this great great trip we are on ! :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:
Great stuff you two, and lovely pictures as well. it looks like you're having a good trip, I hope it continues that way and that the weather is kind to you
BTW You would have almost certainly been able to see the imprint of mine and Geoffs arses on that very bit of wall at the Bridge, where it gets extremely 'bike busy' at weekends, hence the "bikes only Parking" restriction for Saturdays. Sundays and Bank Holidays ...yeah really !
Enjoy yourselves and keep the posts coming
Enjoy your trip lads and ride safely....some friends and I heading over to Applecross during the week for a couple of days ride.
Well here we are at the end of day 2 .... Steve will add all the finer details I have no doubt ... Started off with a very decent breakfast at the Hotel. .. A big "Scottish" breakfast, you know what I mean, sausages, Haggis, tomatoes etc ... But Steve had his WITHOUT the Haggis or the tomatoes or ..... So quite simply it was the most "un Scottish" breakfast I had ever seen !! :mfr_lol:
It was Isle of Skye we were heading off to but today it was going to be in the rain, AND plenty of it ! For most of the day it's been wet but with a hint of warmth.
We have visited a distillery, been on a very rickety old "ferry", met a couple of lovely Border Collies at Spean Bridge and been to the very old .. older than Geoff I believe, Eilean Donan Castle. Only 150 miles today but still out and about from 0900 arriving here at about 5 ish.
If I can manage my photos properly then I shall stick one on the end of this thread, if not then when I return to civilisation I shall put an album up for you ... There are some great piccies and stories to tell
but with very limited Internet access and strength downloading pictures is hard ...
This is quite simply a great little trip, just the sort of thing that the Gtr was made for .. Lots of miles in comfort with no aches and pains at the end of it .. Just big smiles all round
(http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n531/NigelCooper/image_zpse4c5b41b.jpg) (http://s1138.photobucket.com/user/NigelCooper/media/image_zpse4c5b41b.jpg.html)
It's a bit big but just gives you an idea ! :mfr_lol:
Eilean Donan Castle, older than me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!NA I'm not having that :mfr_lol:
:mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:
Great picture Rusty and very 'arty' I like that....nice colour bike too, I'm sure we're waiting for Steve's contribution now
yea! well done steve  that trip reminds me of mine and the Rossendale riders "andy" trip to Scotland last year  the one you back out off :whistling:  which was also a brilliant weekend  andy.. must do it again soon
Chaps and Debs ... I have to report that today has been ......... WET ! Very wet ! :mfr_lol:
A decent breakfast was had in the comfort of the dining room looking through the glass at the rain and ever darkening clouds ... Which would have been even darker if I had not seen, on the way back from the pub last night that my bike was, although on the centre stand, leaning to the right ... Quite a lot ! Steve doesn't care much for green bikes so he just walked on oblivious to the potential disaster .... But I could see ... It's very light up here very late ... That I had pulled the bike up onto a bit of driveway hat had recently been repaired or had some work done to it and the right side of the stand was sinking into the "new" tarmac ... Yikes ! Anyway a catastrophe was averted and I went off to find Steve who was talking to someone about pigeons ... :sleep1: :sleep1:
So, where was I ? Ah yes .. We took the Skye Bridge to leave and although very windy we weren't blown over the edge and made it back to the mainland where we scooted along towards Inverness and around Loch Ness ... Stunning roads, but littered with Traffic Police armed with Lasers !
We visited Fort George and the battlefields of Culodden which by all accounts was a right bloody mess .. For The Jacobites at least. Reaching this very decent B+B around half 5 there was time to park the bikes in a secure garage, hang our kit up in the owners drying room, shower and head off to the pub .... again ! The local food, beer and hospitality was top drawer.
Just the one photo tonight .. to give you a little taste
Speak soon my friends .....

Great reports, sounds like some amazing riding, shame the weather isn't being a bit kinder to you. It's crap down south too, though Rusty if that helps.
Glad you spotted your bike sinking, before disaster struck.
Enjoy the rest of the trip, ride safe.

Yep, I'm looking forward to the rest of the reports too, glad you're both okay and that your super dooper GREEN bike is okay too Rusty

LMAO..very good mate :mfr_lol:
Well yet again it's the end of another busy day ... 261 of Her Majesties finest miles heading south from Loch Ness to Portpatrick.. It's been a really decent day on the weather front ,warmish but dry and sunny which has made up for the last 48 hrs !
There have been a lot of bikes heading North of all shapes and sizes and yet I haven't seen ANY Gtr's !
I am writing this soon after 10 in the evening ... It's still light outside and Steve went to bed ages ago ! This is truly a lovely lovely setting. Once again just a couple of photos .... Hope you are all well.

And this was the each about 25 miles North of here ... As you can see fine sand and almost deserted.

Rusty,
Glad to see the weather has finally turned for you. Did you build any sand castles??

Just to set the record straight....I did not go to bed ages ago. :nono:

Its not possible to travel that far West in Scotland that you actually move into a different time zone is it ?? :mfr_lol:

Boomer,
The clock on this forum is set for GMT, so that probably explains it.
I think only the ZZR is capable of going fast enough to beat time itself... :whistling: :whistling:
He's right ya know, the Clock on the Forum is set to GMT-1 so this post is added at 11:50 yet the forum will show it at 09:50.
So, Rusty was not lying about the time,..... muchos apologias Rusty. I owe you a beer,....
Actually Asif owes you a beer for not setting the clock correctly. :mfr_lol:
Well thank you Chaps for clarifying the time !!!!!! :mfr_lol:
I am back in Sunny Sussex, a long way from Isle of Skye and our recent adventures.
7 days for me and 1,886 miles .... £160 in fuel and a bit more for board and scoff !
It was great and after I have come down to earth and got on with the jobs that have magically appeared on my list for when I return ( finish my daughters bedroom decorating ! ) I shall crack on with posting the photos and doing a decent write up ..
The Gtr was just fantastic and ate up all those miles with ease .. Even the long ride home today .. 4 hrs about, was just made so easy by this great bike ,so well done Mr Kawasaki !
I believe Steve will beat me to the write up ..... Stand by !
Photos added to my original post on page 1. Plenty more in circulation but they are for Rusty to post. I can only echo what Rusty has said, the GTR was brilliant, who needs a BMW GS 1200 for a trip like this eh? :whistling:
Excellent pics Steve, and the 'arty' ones are great too.
the starter of fish soup that you had would have been Cullen Skink , not Cullen Skiven ...very tasty it is too
Did your friendly little dog relieve itself on your GTR Steve, if it did it's probably because your bike isn't GREEN :mfr_lol:
OC ... You are so psychic ....that is exactly what happened and its exactly what I said to Steve ! :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

:mfr_lol: :mfr_lol: Rusty, they say that "great minds think alike" apparently though it's also true that "fools seldom differ" :mfr_lol:
Ok ... So here we go with a few of my pics. ... Forgive me if there are a few repeats but I have just chosen a few ...
Thanks to Steve's thorough write up there is little more, content wise to add to these but I can explain if needed as we go along ! So ...
(http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n531/NigelCooper/photo_zps1ae06d25.jpg) (http://s1138.photobucket.com/user/NigelCooper/media/photo_zps1ae06d25.jpg.html)
A bit arty but this I think was taken on the way back ... There is sunshine to prove it ! It ended to be drawn to taking photos of the bike dressed in GREEN !
(http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n531/NigelCooper/photo_zpsd92df434.jpg) (http://s1138.photobucket.com/user/NigelCooper/media/photo_zpsd92df434.jpg.html)
This gem was taken on The Isle of Skye, just by the distillery, where I would like to add that I purchased my FIRST bottle of Scotch .. Just getting into Whiskey at my old age ! The water was crystal clear but really so cold ....
(http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n531/NigelCooper/photo_zps0ddbd823.jpg) (http://s1138.photobucket.com/user/NigelCooper/media/photo_zps0ddbd823.jpg.html)
Poor old Steve ... At the end of a wet day he was tired and needed his bed ... I was off taking photos and found him asleep at his bike .. Could. Have left him there ... No one would have bothered him !
(http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n531/NigelCooper/photo_zps5aba9196.jpg) (http://s1138.photobucket.com/user/NigelCooper/media/photo_zps5aba9196.jpg.html)
Now Steve doesn't drink tea or coffee .... Took me 6 days to remember this fact but he does like his hot chocolate !
Simple ... This is on the way round Glencoe.
(http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n531/NigelCooper/photo_zpsb5754c2c.jpg) (http://s1138.photobucket.com/user/NigelCooper/media/photo_zpsb5754c2c.jpg.html)
Yours truly ... This was about 30miles from Portpatrick on a very nice sunny but windy day
(http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n531/NigelCooper/photo_zps9ca629b0.jpg) (http://s1138.photobucket.com/user/NigelCooper/media/photo_zps9ca629b0.jpg.html)
I thought this was Geoffs new Verysys until Steve pointed out that it would be too quick for the old boy.
(http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n531/NigelCooper/photo_zps9e5a75ab.jpg) (http://s1138.photobucket.com/user/NigelCooper/media/photo_zps9e5a75ab.jpg.html)

Now by this point Steve was getting a bit upset at the number of photos being taken of the green bike, but to be fair there were a lot of people showing interest in my bike and not even noticing the " magnesium" thing that was close by ...... So he was being really childish and trying to stop the inevitable !!
Eilean Donan Castle ... Very old and amazingly preserved .. Bit like someone else on this forum.
On a long long road ... Time to stretch ones legs ....
[URL=http://s1138.photobucket.com/user/NigelCooper/media/photo_zps1ec7a899.jpg.html](http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n531/NigelCooper/photo_zps1ec7a899.jpg) (http://s1138.photobucket.com/user/NigelCooper/media/photo_zps8ba074d2.jpg.html)
And lastly ... What OC and I have been chuckling about ... Steve and I having a romantic breakfast for 2 at Portpatrick on our last day ... 2 lovely dogs go bye, one of which Steve saw earlier ... He points them out to me as one is a Border Collie .. My favourite ... And then this lovely old dog takes a sniff at Steve back wheel, cocks his leg and empties his bladder all over Steve's back wheel .... Did I laugh ? No not much ... Nearly bloody choked on my black puddin !!!
(http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n531/NigelCooper/photo_zpsc8e13a4c.jpg) (http://s1138.photobucket.com/user/NigelCooper/media/photo_zpsc8e13a4c.jpg.html)
That my dear friends is about it .. There are more but it's late and I hope that's enough to keep you amused ... We certainly were.
Ps .... Sorry these pictures seem a little large ... Don't know what's going on !
That invalid carriage thing would go pretty well around the twisty bumpy terrain of the Dales, yes I can picture it now hanging over the side to get more traction, Pink armbands flapping in the breeze
Nigel, oh how those pictures made me laugh! :gun_bandana:
Size wise, they seem fine to me.
Geoff ... :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:
Steve .. yes.. fine on the big PC just look a bit big on the iPad ... the boat pics I took with your Nikon have come up a treat !
Well of course they did....it's a NIKON.
great pictures...thanks for sharing with us
Rusty ..I have sent you a P.M
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
It is a beautiful part of the world and on dry days the empty roads are a joy to ride on.
That said, I saw the weather forecast on the Friday and thought "Hope they took their snorkels" :mfr_lol:

Totally Agree! My 5 days up there in May was great, despite rain every day
Yes despite the very heavy rain we had a great time, no clothing leakages, no chills etc, nothing.
Indeed .. so much so that I now need another holiday ... I am off with my dear wife and children to Florida for 2 weeks in the morning ... it's VERY hot out there at the moment so I shall be careful not to get burned !
Staying at The Loews Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando, which is in the Islands of Adventure park ..... its going to be lovely. I shall keep an eye on the forum and be back before you know it !
Have a great time which I'm sure you will. I'm already planning the next Scotland trip which I'm hoping you will be part of, who knows we might even invite that there Scouse lad.
