I notice in this thread there seems to be a lot of rides happening up Norf, but not a great deal down muy neck of the woods, to this end i thought....
i am involved with a touring club (just a load of bikers who like to go to Europe really) called the Knights Templar MTC ( knightstemplarmtc.org ) , as well as our excursions abroad we have a number of Day ride outs over the warmer drier months ;D...which brings me nicely to my next point
We are organising a ride out on St Georges day starting and finishing at the Ace Cafe in London on the 23rd April...we plan to do this
starting at the Ace cafe, via Amersham to H's cafe, then onto Dragon Hill. Route back will be via Chieveley Services then back to the Ace.
Anyone can join on route at H's cafe, and going back there will be a drop off for anyone living that end at the Chieveley Services. The total route Ace - Ace is about 200 miles.
The Ace opens nice and early, so I suggest anyone meeting there should be there about 8am, so we can be away by 9am after a nice brekkie. I guess we should arrive sometime at H's cafe bit before 11am for anyone wanting to join there.
I'd like to throw out an open Invite to any members form this site...the route is being led Routemaster, who is a member of this site and of course a GTR rider ;D ....I'll be in the pack somewhere 'gooning around'
We're a nice friendly bunch, honest! , if you wish to join in the fun either post here or send me a PM, and I'll add you to the list over on our website if you're not doing anything on this date and you're local enough to join in....go'on it'll be fun ;D
If you set off really early you could bring your ride out from Darn Sarf up Norf! ;D

It should be a good ride :) they usually are although I am not leading this one just for a change.
One thing FH failed to mention, slapped wrist, is that in addition to our European tours of which there are two this year plus a couple of day trips to France we also have regular monthly ride-outs during the summer starting this Sunday where we are going to Stratford upon Avon. So we are going slightly up Norf :o - well Norf of the M4 :-\
If anybody is interested in joining us for the ride or meeting up for lunch in Stratford on Sunday the details available from FH or the web site http://www.knightstemplarmtc.org/ (http://www.knightstemplarmtc.org/) We should be at the motorcycle car park in Stratford for around 1:00pm ish on Sunday - look out for a Magnesium Grey and Black GTR's.

Oooohh sounds like fun (not), shame you can't make it, maybe next time?...i'll keep on posting Southern ride out dates for those who might fancy a run ;D
