Title: Bogging down around 1800rpm
Post by: Bryn on June 11, 2013, 06:18:38 PM
My '09 is smooth as silk, apart from what I'd describe as a slight flat spot around 1800 rpm which is noticeable when in traffic or riding slowly....

Anyone had the same and any ideas?

Does the bike have an aftermarket pipe fitted or is it the standard spud launcher  ?

The original isn't that bad looking with the panniers on.

Think the slight fluffiness at  1800 rpm has gone..... so I'm going to stick with the spud launcher.... just a pity its not a couple of inches shorter

On reflection I reckon the butterfly removal and the remap is the cause of it

Get one from a Mk 2 - they are shorter.
I actually have one in my garage since I put a Beowulf on.

You can cut the spud launcher down you know, there is a video somewhere of exactly how to do it, best you have access to a mig welder though.

Seen that myself somewhere..... if I just explain..... tried to cut a bit of plastic with a stanley knife in the garage last night.... anyway... after about 20 minutes I managed to stop my finger bleeding.... so I couldn't be let loose with a mig welder.... all my fillings would be toast
