for all you types that like to USB charge, I reckon this could work but I'm no expert

That looks good OC.
Whilst on this topic. How many out there thave used the auxillary socket to charge their mobile phones whilst the bike was NOT started ( or idling). My question is how long can you charge your mobile phone before it affects the bike's battery ( battery going flat ) ?

You better ask how many times can you fully charge your phone before the bike battery goes flat if you don't use the bike between charges!
I don't think a single charge will have any noticeable effect.

I have a similar one, but much cheaper.
Not sure what use the rubber cover is though. The socket on the bike is waterproof unless is use, so the charger does not need to be waterproof .

In that case - it most likely won't drain the battery unless it is nearly flat already.  :mfr_lol:

Hmm, interesting Mr Bond. You could actually use that to continually run a GoPro.

I do - drill usb sized hole in side of waterproof gopro case and use a rubber bung when not cabled....works a treat

Thanks OC, I was looking for something I did not have yet, and this will be a useful addition. It should work fine, as long as draw is no more than 10 amp, you will not blow the fuse...
However, my 12 V accessory lead is on off switch when bike is not running, as I don't want to drain battery. As a matter of fact, all my accessories, thanks to my Fuse Block (you can chose if you want accessories to run or not when bike is not running) are off when bike is off...

USB output is at Maximum 2 Amps @ 5 Volts = 10 Watts.
If you leave it plugged in at full draw (most phones & tablets only draw 0.5 Amps or less) the 14 Ah battery would last around 200 hours.
Only problem you have is that you have to leave the ignition on to charge it, unless you have a second permanent socket (like i do) or have modified the original.
