It's when Triples stop smoking that you have problems tapps...............and I speak from experience

1975 KH400 or S3s generally have okay standard ignition systems on them, some folk add Boyer Branson to try and improve the ignition, but in my opinion they don't need it

The key to success is to get the carbs set up properly (again I speak from experience)

Gone are the days when you would put a gallon in and a couple of squirts of 2 stroke oil at the garage, oooooooooooooohh the smell of two stroke oil, especially if it was castrol R.

I paid £750 for my brand new 350LC in '82

Usual mods , microns, cibie light, tomaselli clip ones and on weekends I was Kenny Roberts !

Would love another one but can't justify the price they fetch.

Sadly, records show mine removed from DVLA in '92

I had in old fashioned letraset below the registration "don't chase what you can't catch"

Good times............

Still love the smokers too, though I have never experienced the classic stuff.

I had a 2003 Aprilia RS250 as a race bike, absolutely loved the thing despite it being the most fragile piece of machinery I had ever had the pleasure of stripping down - again.

Would love a Bimota VDue, but no way I am prepared to plonk that sort of money down on one unfortunately.

Martin.
