Recently fitted one of these to make my 2 weekly Plymouth to Doncaster, Doncaster to Plymouth trip a bit more pleasant. Stops the cramp/numbness I was suffering from on this 5-6 hour trip.
Not bad for less than £10. Allows the the right hand to relax a bit more. Dosn't get in the way at all in town/on the twisties.

bit cheaper than a full on cruise control too :D
I had one on my bike which I got from Hein Gericke, it just didnt feel right & it kept getting in the way. ???
Works for me. Needs to be adjusted right but easy to do on the move.
How do these work?

As explained above. Just slips on the grip.
Good for long motorway/dual carriageway trips. Easy to remove for other riding.
Works for me on my Plymouth/Doncaster 2 weekly run.

How does that work?
What about the fartholder at the bottom?
What is that for?
Doesn't look gas tight to me.
Fartholder = Speed Keeper
We even have a small town nearby called "Middelfart"... funny, eh? :D
That "fartholder" works like a champ... just clip in on the bar... and when you need some rest, then
push it in place. It keeps your throttle "just like that"...
I had one of these donated by Scottoiler when I did a charity enduro last year. I think they are a great bit of kit especially for log distance. I have transferred it to my new GTR which I ride around tow with no problems. In facy, I find it reduces the twichyness of the low down power.
It does take a bit of getting used to and adjusting to find the right spot for you, but once it is there, it makes riding a lot less stressfull on the hands.
One word of warning, be gentle with the throttle until you get used to where it is on the bars as you can nudge it sometimes which can result in you moving forward. (only until you are used to the location of it)
