Title: TPS warranty
Post by: BigAlan on April 27, 2013, 09:00:56 AM
I had the message on the dash which indicated that the front tyre pressure sensor battery was low yesterday and when it warmed up it went away, as the bike is only 19 months old would the changing of the battery be covered by warranty or would this be a consumable type of situation?

Thanks
Alan

It's a warranty issue. I had my front TPS changed only last week for exactly the same reason. No quibble, didn't even need to see the bike displaying the warning, just ordered the part and job done.

Excellent, I could easily remove the tyre myself and solder on a new battery but why should I if its under warranty.

YES. it is covered by warranty. I took out extended warranty and mine were done under this.

I think a lot of GTRs flash the warning when it's cold, but are fine when the temperature is higher.    Could I suggest that if you came to live in the Dales your problem would not exist, as it's always boiling hot up here  :whistling:  :mfr_lol:

I'd love to live up in the dales but its the house prices which kill it dead, here I am in rainy cold Oxford in my four bed detached double garaged place which would easily get £425,000 which gets me a shed up north, so I am going to stay here and count my pennies and plan my trips up Norf to be with the well off chaps.
