Hello everyone, its like the night before xmas at my house!!!!............my GTR gets delivered tomorrow yeeharr.
I went out for a final blast on my current bike (CBR600RR) this morning and after 20 minutes I felt like I had been stampeded by a herd of very angry elephants so I gave up, went home and polished it instead so it looks its best at Part ex time. No wonder its only done 1900 miles in 4 years.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to poppin my GTR cherry tomorrow and to not being crippled after 20 mins!
Welcome along.
Hope you weather stays good for the pick up
Hi there A1,
 1900 miles in 4 years?? Well I think you might rack that up in the first month with the GTR!
It took me a little while to get used to how wide the bike felt when I put my feet down at the lights, but I just love the bike as its a can do anything (bar off road) kind of bike. I've done 600 plus miles in a day on the bike and it was a joy all the way, and many others have ridden much further in a day without a problem.
Enjoy mate!
Welcome A1,
I am sure you will love the GTR had mine for 6 weeks now and have done well over a 1000miles. It's a fantastic bike...
Great forum too, the old hands on here have made all us newbie's very welcome.
Enjoy

:185: A1, now its time to do some serious miles when you get your new GTR .( 1900 in 4 years OMG ) Enjoy the bike :biker3:
Hello A1. .. Glad to have you on board .. There shall be no doubt you will love the Gtr !! It is a fantastic bike and let's hope the weather holds up for you to ride the new steed home .... After going the long way of course ,! :mfr_lol:
welcome Mr A1Junction63  to the madhouse forum  the GTR is a great bike, I'm not denying that  but you should have bought the zzr1441  no back pain :nono: but you do end up with arms like popeye's :mfr_lol:
Thanks for the warm welcome lads, I'm up for a ride out just let me know when and work/wife permitting I'll be there.
By the way I popped my GTR cherry today! I am totally over the moon with my decision on getting one. It's the mutz nutz!! Considering its such a beast its road manners are impeccable. It took me by surprise at how well it handled and the feedback it gave. I'm particularly impressed by its steering and how easily and quickly it changes direction without drama even on a crap road surface. Even at manoeuvring speed and 2 up its totally stable. Its definitely a wolf in sheep's clothing too with that motor. Best bike I have owned by a mile. :cheesy:
Told ya so :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol: now enjoy
A1, I was about to say (before my fat fingers hit Post prematurely!), like everyone says, you will enjoy it. But really, 1900 miles in 4 years, shame on you, on any bike . I bought my 2012 girl with 2150km on the clock as a dealer demo (and buying a dealer demo, saved almost $5000), and it's now got 10,500km. It's only been 2 months!. But then, it's wide open spaces and riding weather almost all the time 'down under'. For me, it's my only wheels (wife gets the car, and I find cars too damned boring nowadays. So winter, summer, hail (no, not hail!), wind, rain & shine, I'm on the GTR.
Quoteno, not hail!
Yeah, hail hurts! It pays to keep a reasonable speed going so that all that nice faring and screen are useful... Otherwise, if you're wearing mesh gear, it hurts like hell!
Here's what the missus and I found last year. A torrential T-storm... The roads are sweet though!

Because up North we are tough breed, we would call that weather slightly damp :smartass:  :whistling: :mfr_lol:
