Well after trying to sell my GTR 10 REG which is in pristine condition for the last few weeks, with no luck, i finally did a great deal today very pleased with the px i got.
So i pick up my 4th GTR friday its a 12 reg CCF imaculate condition in blue, and comes with the larger kawasaki top box. I have mixed opinions on the black wheels / grab rails, but they may grow on me. I really like the silver chrome wheels of STGTR's bike and may have them done.
It will get its first good run out sunday, down to Brands Hatch for the start of the BSB season, can't wait.
I would appreciate your opinion's on the black or silver choice

ZM.. the Midnight Blue is a lovely colour and TBH I reckon the Black wheels look just right on the bike :yes:
And congratulations on your 4th GTR, you must be the first fourth timer on here......if that makes sense :mfr_lol:

Yes i think i am the first fourth timer, cant wait for the 5th -6th -7th??????????????? long may it continue.

I have the silver wheels on my black 11 bike and prefer the black ones, I had thought thatnthennext time I need tyres I would get them powder coated, but I put some new PR3's on just 800 miles ago so that will have to wait, unless you have some exact same tyres and mileage and want to swop :mfr_lol:
Have fun with the bike at Brands, I shall be in Belgium all weekend.

Zed, congratulations. :clap: I have the 2011 model and mine has black wheels. They look just fine, dont stress yourself over the colour of the wheels. Why do some 2011 models have black wheels and some have silver like on Big Al's? I have no idea.
Well done Zedman that's good news ... When I first saw the Gtr it was in blue and have always liked it ! Enjoy the new steed and the black wheels will look really nice with the blue... You are a lucky chap. :yes:
Thanks for the comments, i will see how it goes with the wheels, yes i was very lucky with the deal i got, but patience is my middle name, dont do stress, its like a well put together tender it pays to do the homework.
Well --- picked the bike up today and very very impressed, immaculate condition goes like a dream. Must be my lucky day, these were NOT mentioned in the advertisement, extenda fenda, R&G radiator cover, pannier protection film, Michelin PR3s, and the best of all extended warranty until 2016!!!!, to say i am well chuffed is an understatement.
The service from the dealer was very professional can't praise them enough ( chorley Yamaha --- Duncan. ) So if anyone wants a pristine 10reg GTR give them a call.
The bike came with the kawasaki 47 Ltr top box, so i will be selling my GIVI ( simply -- painted galaxy black) 47 Ltr top box and fixing plate, and extenda fenda ( already had one ) soon.

The extended warranty alone is a huge bonus. :clap:

Got to admit black wheels look good and will be keeping them black, so easy to clean, but they do show every bit of dirt / grime. I'm just having the footpeg hangers polished, and my son is making me a set of carbon fibre frame and swing arm bungs / covers.
wanted to buy my bike 2 yrs ago with the only condition that the dealer switch the black wheeles for the silver ones. was no prblem. of course this is a personal opinion about colours...

All down to personal taste.. mine has silver wheels as it is an '09... would exchange for black any time of the day...... they show the much up a lot less

Nice bike hope you enjoy I know what you mean about the wheels I do like the silver chrome also have a spare set powder coated in what was described as Benson & Hedges gold.
Everyone has differing tastes.

Yea really like the black wheels they have grown on me, the monster is my play bike a blast with the boys sunday mornings.
