stupid question but does anyone use a paddock stand on there gtr and which ones fit pik my gtr up tuesday forgot to have a look :2guns:
Ive never used a paddock stand on the GTR but did have some Oxford ones for my other bikes.
the gtr is a big heavy lump to lift onto a paddock stand ,personally i wouldn't bother with one, just incase it slipped off,( i 've done it) they have a perfectly good centre stand.
cheers just wondered do the use bobbins or not

I don't think that you'll need a paddock stand as Keith said the GTR has a very good main stand and you can do most if not all jobs by using that
I guess that it's stupid question but how do you lift front wheel from ground?
Can central stand take weight of whole bike for prolonged time ?
Reason I am asking is that when I go on ship bike stays 3-4 months lean on the front wheel ?
Thanks for suggestions and some pics will be nice
P.S
Sorry, "theburnking", for stealing your topic. :embarrassed:
P.P.S.
I think this topic should be moved from "Introductions"

The central/mainstand will easily support the full weight of your bike
Garfield, I have a solution to that dilemna. Sometimes I just ask the boss while she's reading, to park herself on the pillion seat and read there , it works a treat for a little while (eg, while I'm cleaning the front rims etc). I've got to work quick though as the boredom sits in rather quickly (kind of like when she's on the back and we don't have any twisties to get through  )
When on the centrestand nearly all of the weight is through the centrestand so yes it is designed for it.
You can pickup the front of the bike with one hand when it's centrestanded.
If parked for long periods it's recommended to get the tyres off the ground.
I have a carpeted garage (with underlay!) so not a problem for me.
As for a paddock stand, not sure where you could attach the bobbins on the rear.
Front paddock stand is easy as is identical to the ZZR1400 forks.
When I am getting my tyres changed I put the centrestand on a piece of 2"x4" and remove the front wheel first using a jack under the engine.
I then drop the front axle onto axle stands which gets the front low enough to get the rear wheel out easily.
Make sure that you ratchet strap or rope the centrestand into position. Bungees will not hold it and if you knock it off the centrestand you are really in the :shit:
