I have already posted asking for help on accessing my front indicator bulb and received helpful replies, but without the shortcut I was hoping for
I'm from between York and Selby and have just bought a 2010 GTR after 6 pans (4 x 1100 and 2 x 1300) but I did have plenty of Kwak sports bikes in my youth before becoming an instructor in the Army and going all sensible.
The bike I bought was an absolute bargain (£8k with 10k miles) and had loads of mods; electronic cruise control, gel seat, touring screen, extended warranty. It also had some stupid mods; bar risers (ruined the handling), heated clothing sockets (kept tripping the alarm) and alarm (keeps tripping but also makes the keyless ignition pointless). I have removed everything I can but it's too big a job to remove the alarm so I'll have to live with it (have just clipped the fob to the brake fluid reservoir for easy access).
I will be using the bike for occasional transport and some advanced riding tuition but mainly for marshalling cycle races for the National Escort Group. I wanted something a bit faster and more modern than the Pan and am so far not disappointed; the bike rides like a dream.
Thank you for the warm welcome I have already received and I am looking forward to absorbing your knowledger and hope I don't ask too many stupid questions.
Have fun, Phill
Now then Batesy.....

I have LED amber strobes in my indicators for the subtle yet effective look :-)

9.5k up to now Phill. The Big K had had a new ignition, replacement discs and fractured fairing panel at that.... :whistling:
Great bike you've got, saw the cat in the bag on FB the other day, and Andy said he thought you'd gone for a GTR.

Sure we will, it's amazing how easy it is to beat a fat lardy BMW.
Just leave the panniers at home and find some traffic.
At least K1600s aren't as ugly as Pans are without the panniers,... but if ya left the panniers at home where would ya put the pipe and slippers,... and kitchen sink? :mfr_lol:
Welcome aboard Phill.
