Just heard on the News yesterday that a small number of poor souls have now been trapped up at The Tanhill Inn in Swaledale for six days.
The first two photos show a pretty tame snow scene for that neck of the woods as when it's bad up there, it's really bad.

The third picture looks a little more severe but bearable.

This is a 2013 photo of a guest who is stranded at the Inn, now that is pretty deep. :sweatdrop:

This poor little chap should be in the main pub by the open fire but when nature calls they have to go out. Just look at the ice freezing on his fur, somebody, get him in quickly for God's sake!! :mfr_lol:

And then, last but not least, yes....that is a tent. Some muppet is actually living in a tent in those conditions. Total wacko!

Has anyone on here ever had to explain to the other half or employer that they're stranded in a pub and can't get home and more importantly did they believe it?
What a shame to be stranded in such conditions ! :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:
I can think of a lot worse places to be stranded
It is a very remote place and drifting snow would be a major issue, I'm looking forward to the summer and nice ride outs to places like Tan Hill
This was me with an old pal on a lovely day in September 2011
