Title: Difference between Remus Okami and Hexacone??
Post by: KeVstrom on March 22, 2013, 10:39:06 AM
Apart from the price, how are they different? The okami is the cheaper option and looks slightly stubbier. I just dont eant to end up with a really loud droning exhaust when im cruising about.

pretty sure its just the materials they are made of. Okami is stainless with matt end caps. Hexacone is stainless or titanium with carbon end caps. more detail here //www.remusonline.com.au

Here's my Okami.. Its well made and fitted nicely ........ when I had the bike remapped it was suggested the baffle was strangling the fuelling.. So now the baffle is out, and its still not too noisy.. And I'd be the first to be driven mad by a droning exhaust

Nice! Thanks, so with the baffles in, its actually messing up the fueling? And with it out its liveable? I suppose it cant be louder than my old DL with TWIN Beowolfs at 6am!!  :mfr_lol: Thats why im concious of what i buy

Should have said. I have the Hexacone on mine. Not much difference in noise whether baffle in or out, mines always out.

I have a Two Brothers pipe on mine which sounds good even though it has a Powertip sound suppressor fitted.

Its not the best looking end can in my opinion but I bought it second hand from a past member on here

Gonna take the plung and order me a Okami exhaust tomorrow. For just under £290 posted it would be rude not too.

One question on ALL aftermarket exhausts fitted to a GTR.   Do they pop back when the bike is on the overrun, I dont just mean when shut off in normal use,   BUT when going down a steep decent with the engine on the overrun for a while?

No, well mine doesn't .... haven't you been listening to mine Geoff........................oh......hang on your normally up front, and I'm rear gunner

Morris Minor 1000s used to pop and fart on't overrun

Only reason I ask is, a few years ago I fitted a Blue flame can to my ZRX1200. I loved the sound of it when accelerating BUT on the overrun it did my head in. I just could not do with the popping and farting, so it had to go. And I have not had an after market can since. Must say though those Okamis do look very nice. So Kev be a nice chap and after you have fitted yours could you ride down the Buttertubs pass towards Hawes, where the engine is on the overrun for a good 5 minutes and let me know regarding the popping and farting situation.   I thank you.

Cock :undecided:
QuoteHi Kevin,

Many thanks for your order.  Our supplier has the Remus slip on in stock todaybut the only problem is the price L

Unfortunately they have hiked up the prices since the beginning of March and my IT chap is in hospital so unable to update our website.  The correct retail price for this part is £370 and we offer a 10% discount which makes it £333.00, plus delivery of £14.50, the new total is then £347.50.

I have not debited your card and await to hear from you whether you wish to go ahead or not.

Best whishes,

I figured if im having to spend more dough, i might aswell get the one i really want.
Plus
- its in stock for wed delivery
- if i bought from US it would be around 360 posted then
- if i get collard for duty and taxes itll be another 100 quid i reckon
- i get full UK warranty.

I did save 20 quid for going direct

Nice job Kev, more pictures here

In fact that's the nicest pipe I've seen in a while , looks like there's plenty room for pillion peg lowering kit too, if required

They are sexy exhausts, ive always wanted on but never had a decent styled bike to fit one onto, and now i have ao im looking forward to it. Cant understand why the CS One Black is 45 quid more thou, its nice but how does black make it more expensive? Surely i could spray mine if i scratch it.

Cock again!
Eventually got the exhaust delivery off my neighbour only to discover ive been sent the wrong kit. This is the more expensive 33505 kit for the ZX14 Ninja or ZZR1400 as we know it. So basically i have twin cans!!

I know what youre thinking, sell it, afterall its worth 715 quid but i cant be bothered and just want my exhaust so ive contacted the shop who are gonna reorder the correct kit. Looks like itll be tuesday the soonest ill get it cos of the easter weekend.
