Post by: 100milesaway on February 26, 2013, 12:12:19 PM
For those who would like a egg & bacon butty and a cup of tea I am meeting some mates at "The Bridge" Kirby Lonsdale tomorrow at about 12-00 we will stand around for a couple of hours talking poo, poo, and more poo. Weather is looking like it is set fair, so if you are at a loose end      Av It    Over to you Rog

Hi mobiamv,

I've only recently bought the G.F in order to fulfill a long standing desire, see here

http://www.gtr1400.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,2475.0.html

And now I find that its started an even bigger desire to try another one as well   :whistling:

So yesterday I bought this  I'll post more pictures when it arrives at the Rev Shed

The DBD 34 is a truly stunning machine and one that I've lusted over for years, but alas today's prices mean that owning one is out of reach for me, plus I think that the G.F and Venom will prove to be more 'practical' for my needs (I am olde ya know)  :mfr_lol:

Maybe you could post a pic or two of the RGS

Hi OC,
Thats a nice clean and tidy looking Velo you have bought.I hope it goes as well as it looks,
and you are quite right the Goldie is very uncomfortable to ride when they are in
clubmans spec. I to have caught the bug since retiring but not for British iron although
possible like yourself was brought up on it.I,m busy restoring a ZXR 750r K1 homolagation
WSB of the early 1990,s. and have just finished a 916 Ducati  I will post a
pic of the goldie asap

It was a 1980 'J' model which had spent a lot of its life in the I.O.M .

It was a bit shabby when I first bought it. The bike had Hummel (HH) barrels and Lockheed brakes, I had it tuned by Lee Gornall.

Bloody quick for a 250
