Roger, Gordon phoned me at 8-30 to ask if I was playing out, but I looked outside and it was snowing, and even though I am pretty keen, I had a vision of the road inbetween Hawes and the viaduct at ribblehead and thought !!! nah. So I have just been up to the newsagents and bought a couple of bike mags and will spend the rest of today chilled. God be willing it will be better soon and we can get out, ride motorbikes, talk poo for hours on end, and eat lots of cakes whilst slurping bucket fulls of tea. It wont be long Rog, keep the faith
Well we have snow on the ground here in Durham
My last ride was last Saturday- Durham to Kielder via a meet up near Heddon on Wall, up to Newcastleton ( lovely breakfast) and then to
capheaton for another tea stop along A68 to Ponteland then back home
Around 170 miles in total, temperature was arounf 4 degrees rising to 6 in the afternoon. dense fog and drizzle on leaving Newcastleton towards Catcleugh reservoir but a great day out
I'm still getting used to the bike, have done around 600 miles only since purchase 31.10.12; just haven't had the weather
Bring on the spring!!
I'm off to Switzerland in July, can't wait for sunnier climes hopefully
Here's a pic of my mate texting his lass that he's gonna be late home for tea ( he rides a GS)

I went out on the GTR today. Dry but only 0 -1 degree on the dash display, some salt left on the roads. Not as good as last weekend, that was dry and sunny, around 8 degrees and I rode the Honda 500/4, Yamaha YR5 and went to a BMW Club Meet on the GTR (I am still a member, although now without the BMW).
