:mfr_lol: Dave, I didn't think for one minute that you WOULD'NT go to the Ponderosa. Huge shame that you couldn't get to the Lower Lode Inn to check on my photo. We will go again this year at some stage, preferably before I go on my Scottish tour. (Did I mention I was going to Scotland this year).  :whistling:
Looks like you had a great time, we are lucky to live in this part of the UK and have all that virtually on our doorstep.  :biker3:

On the Old ring-a-ding MZ photo the bike in the middle is a Honda Amigo moped.
I had one of those in those colours. Nasty horrible piece of  :shit: with no rear suspension, no power, no brakes and 6V electrics.
I rode it off a cliff into a sand quarry and that nearly finished it off.
A friend and I completed it's termination with much verbal abuse and a few beatings.
We then carried the remains to the local scrapyard and held a brief funeral service for it.
We then had a good excuse for a wake, and boy did we use it.  :mfr_lol:

 but the honda moped may have been  a "dog" but ask yourself this question? would a modern bike take as much stick as you gave the "old" honda before it passed away

Probably not, but that still does not take away just how bad a bike it was.
I owned/rode just about every 50cc bike available in the late 70's and this was nearly bottom of the pile.

A CZ50 I briefly owned was absolute bottom of the pile. Had 80 miles on it from new and broke down nearly every day.
The dealer had sold it super cheap with NO WARRANTY and I bought it even cheaper than that.
I made a small profit after fixing several faults and vowed to never touch a CZ again.
MZ's on the other hand were pretty good, but heavy and slow.
Fantics, Kreidlers, Zundapps and the Japanese were all quick and fun.
Can you imagine me riding 50cc bikes.  :mfr_lol:

Nice pics mate.  I bet you were desperate to get on your bike?  If you look closely at the Lower Lode Inn, you can see Ally in the bottom right window still waiting for a taxi   I'm not getting why you're taking time to blank out VRNs though?

well andy.. I never use to bother blanking out reg numbers but I got a 2 parking fines in southampton and I was  because at the time my car was parked at work. now I know I'm a clever arse  but not even I can be in two places at the same time, I got sent a photo of the same model car and colour as mine with my reg number on  the only problem was my car was 300 miles away from where it was said to be illegally parked twice. I needed to provide proof that I wasn't in southampton and my car was not used by anyone eles, only after 3 phone calls did they eventually give me the benefit of doubt  and suggested that my reg plate has been copied and put on the same model and colour as my car. I understand a reg plate can be seen when your out and about but you can't do anything about that :nono: not even me...

my first road legal bike in the mid seventies was a yamaha 1976 FS1E  top speed 50 m.p.h on the straite and 55 m.p.h down hill. my mate had a suzuki AP50 which seem to be slightly quicker after 2nd gear  didn't have my fizzy long because I stuck it into the rear of car and binned it,  lucky enough for me the fizzy was so light and underpowered it came to a sudden stop and I flew through the air  it was at that moment I learned a valuable lesson...  always look where you're going

I once received a ticket from GLC for driving a Golf in a Bus Lane, with accompanying photographic CCTV evidence, the number was at the time attached to a BMW GS that I owned.

TBH a photo of the bike, and a quick visit to the helpful local cop shop with some documentation sorted the problem quickly

That was another reason for me to get rid of the Bavarian Ditch pump  :mfr_lol:
