Title: Tattoo's
Post by: slane on February 18, 2013, 08:54:05 PM
i suppose i could have called this "i'll show you mine if you show me yours" but Tattoos will do  :mfr_lol:
So who's got them .....who likes them ......and who hates them , There very much a personal thing i think , what one likes another wont etc .
I just recently got my first ink job , its of a design i liked for many years and it took me a long time to get the bottle to even go into the shop. im sure some of you on here will reconise where it came from so will leave that for you to say.

I have........none, not really in favour of them but i respect others to there own opinion, some i can see are work of arts and take some serious time and money to get done but still i am not convinced. Its not a pain thing just never fancied one.

Just my 2p worth.

I have a a few on my back.. They all mean something special.

At the top is 'Pas Sans Toi' which is french for 'Never Without You' which is also one of Lara Fabians Songs.

Then the portrait of Lara. Underneath is Je t'aime Lara / I love you Lara.

Then I met her on stage in Paris and she signed my back. When I got home I had it tattooed over.

Below that I have my daughters names and D.O.B.

Nice work there Slane, recognised that as soon as I saw it, and that's the best advertisement for any tattoo artist, just hate it when you have to ask "what is it?"....

Like your images there Debs, lot of work went into that, and not cheap work either... unfortunately I hadn't a feckin clue who Laura Fabians was... but have just looked her up and found out she's a singer.... God I must be gettin old.

Now you've had me get my phone to capture my little piece of art... not a great picture, using the mirror but there you go.

As you say Mr Slane  "Very much a personal thing" .. not for me but I have seen some that are clearly masterpieces of artwork and others that are simply not !
