Title: Any photoshop experts here
Post by: Kwikasfuki on February 09, 2013, 12:20:48 PM
Is there anyway of editing the attached image so only the bike is shown on a white background?

Only clean pic I have of my old bike and I want to mount it in a picture frame.

I've re-sized it but am no good at pasting a white background

Asif if you want to email it to me at the highest resolution possible I'll have a go. The bike itself will be easy (ish) to do its the screen that's the problem because of the door and jacket hung behind it but I'll have a go.

Asif I know its not on a white background but I was just tinkering around with PS, if I dont use it for a while I get rusty. I have an old tablet up in the loft, not a professional one like a certain persons Son on here but it may just help me clear up some of the lines around the tyres and make them smoother. Difficult to do with a laptop cursor. Also the bit behind the screen is a pain in the arse to fix. When I get the bike removed smoothly from the background and cleaned up I'll have a go at a white background. Rome wasn't built in a day you know!  :mfr_lol:

It's a start. It's faffy because of all the shapes and gaps. I'll persevere though.

Dave .. I thought I looked quite fetching in the first picture .. my best side and all that ! :mfr_lol:

Steve .. nice bit of editing.

Asif .. goes to show the importance of choosing your background when taking photos ... especially of your beloved GTR !   :mfr_lol:

OK, Word is a load of  :censored: for that.

The GIMP (ver. 2.8) on the other hand....
I made a flying BIRD appear in a 15 second exposure!

Took me more than 5 minutes though...

I'll try something more bike related next time...

Night

OK this is better... Need to sort the shadow out a bit and anyone would believe that I took the bike round the circuit... in second place!
