I fancy some Leather biking trousers, not those with velcro slider patch thingies and fancy colours, but some older style Ashman/Scott types.
Anyone with any to sell, or advice on where to get some...I've been trawling fleabay for a while with no success
Size 38-40" waist leg 32"

rog.. I've got a leather 2 piece suit that's made by Ashman, but their are from my 2 stroke days  I still remember buying them in the seventies and leaving a trail of blue smoke behind me on my rd400  but they have defo seen better days now, the wife as stitched the crutch up on them a few times over the years :whistling: the last time I used the suit, was when I went through my "dark period" a few years ago when I lost the plot completely for year and bought a vn1600 cruiser. but the years have been kind to me  because they still fit me  with you being considerable larger around the mid section  they would be  use to you anyway :mfr_lol:

Thanks for the thought though chaps, another thought is that every dog has his day, I'll get me own back, you wait and see :2guns: :mfr_lol:
Your friendly fat bast*rd :mfr_lol:
I saw those ones Zedmeister, thanks for the link .
In fact whilst trawling through fleabay its amazing just what leather gear is on sale, some items have zips in strange places  :mfr_lol:
I've a set of "Lookwell" leathers, the jacket is mostly black with red over the shoulders and part - way down each arm and the collar (straightline zip and flashes, very 70's style) and matching black leather trousers that attach by zip. There is armour, but no knee sliders or anything of that!
These were bought around 11 - 12 years ago to ride my classics in, however I rapidly discovered that I preferred a looser fitting, longer jacket and armoured jeans, so haven't really worn them at all, condition is as new.
I'm just over six feet tall, 38" waist & 44" chest, with a 31" inside leg measurement and, if it helps will part with them for little money if they are useful to you, as they are just taking up space here. Could e - mail a photo or two if you want to take a look. Originally suit cost around £575 I believe, would be happy at £100.00 plus carriage.
Thanks flatfour, £100 is a bit outside my budget, however it sounds like a fair price for a quality suit
Can I think it over :sleep1: and get back to you ?
Thanks again
Rog
p.s I'll P.M you ...R

Hang my gloves up :ohplease: absolutely bloody no chance of that happening any time soon. But I may have a re-think when I get to 70 ya know. :whistling: I really dont have any problem with the size and weight of the GTR. I really believe that it is one of the best balanced bikes ever, still a dream to ride, as quick as I would ever want to go, and is just lovely. So the big fella is going nowhere. I think we should still be hustling together for quite a few years yet.

Erm yes :embarrassed: :embarrassed: :embarrassed: :embarrassed: :surrender:
Yep, I remember that day too
Go onto Amazon and try Australian Bikers. I bought a pair of Leather trousers for under £80. They are really good quality and fit, and I am a big bloke.
For the price of second hand you can get a good quality pair brand new. They really look and feel far more expensive.

Following Rippers advice I ckecked Australian Bikers on Amazon. The touring style leather tropusers seemed just what I wanted so ordered a pair. Despite the lousy weather they arrived in less than 48hrs & I'm very pleased with them, seem good quality & fit perfect. Worth giving the site a look if your in the market for reasonably priced kit & thanks Ripper for posting .
