It seems is prone to the same kinda rip off as it is for bikes :gun_bandana:
I received a renewal notice from Hastings asking for over £322 for the year WHAAAAAT ?? .......are they nuts.
So I went straight onto money supermarket quotes and came up with one for E-sure for £194 all included.
Hastings recon that £294 was the best they could do....needless to say I'm now insured by E-sure
I'm only amazed that Hastings didn't try and charge me £1066 :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol: did ya see what I did there
I was with Privilege Insurance for a while. For two years running I couldn't beat their renewal quote but the third year came in massively overpriced. Went with the meerkats and got quote from Privilege for £200 less. I phoned and they matched their own offer. Ridiculous !! And I got a meerkat toy for SHMBO.

Ye we saw it Rog. :2guns:
Sorry OC - didn't get it !
I did get a quote from Swinton last week for £200 just for the GTR. Chap tried to get me on cover on Thursday and knocked off £30 down to £170. On Friday I picked up my HG master goretex trousers and the guy gave me a discount card for gues what- Swinton !
Swindon calling me again on Monday. I'll try the card and if they give a little then I'll go with that.
Apparently Swinton bloke says he ain't making a bean - they gamble on us having a no fault accident and pocketing referral fees from ambulance chasers and repair companies.
Nice to know their business model is based on us coming to harm eh - if this tele sales blokes to be believed.
So much for £500-600 quotes. You can stick your 1000 nectar points, 15 months for the price of 12, meerkat toy where the sun don't shine !
I've no qualms trading this bunch of sharks off against each other - seemples !!!

Blimey. I thought it was assumed that everyone over 40 knew the date of the Battle of Hastings!
My apologies!
Wasn't that the one when King Harold saw a pretty ropey archer and said.
"Careful son, you'll have someone's eye out with that!" :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

Check it every year.
I was with Esure, renewal was £350, went to Confused, best quote was Esure at £220 (£10 cheaper than previous year) so I phoned Esure and asked them what the :censored: they were playing at.
Got it for £200 in the end but they next year they ratcheted it up again by 35% so I moved to Elephant. So far so good with them (2 years).
Always do George.
Hence the deal!
Had a really good run with the Policy Shop, then IAM over past 10 or so years.
I know it's a good deal when they say 'I would take that deal sir. We can't get near it...' :mfr_lol:
