Title: Suzuki service, info anyone?
Post by: ChrisB on January 16, 2013, 10:54:48 PM
My lad has a SV650 twin which needs a full service. He has been quoted £350 + extras if the tappets/valves need adjusting, which to me seems a bit steep. Anyone got any recommendations in the Manchester area where he can take it?
Thanks. Chris

Your garage and a Haynes manual !!!   What a great bike to learn basic mechanics on, not covered in plastic. Easily accessible heads, and only half as many, get the kettle on, the heater on and get stuck in

Agree with Coman, nothing like the satisfaction of working on your own bike and saving a bit of money in the process.

Not a difficult job if you follow the manual and don't rush it.

Workshop manuals are readily available for free download for that bike, have a crack at it, if you've got the tools that is..  if you haven't then the cost of the micrometers, shims etc would make it too dear, but then again you'd always have them for the next time you need them...
