Title: GOA India
Post by: Essex Boy on January 15, 2013, 01:41:50 PM

3 More days behind my desk and then off to Mumbai India for business. Done it about 10 times now so nothing new or exciting there, but for the first time I have booked internal flights down to Goa, booked myself intoa Beach Side Hotel and phoned a man about an Enfield.

This time next week I shall be astride 500 cc's of puffing arthritic Indian iron puttering along the Goan coast in 30 degree heat, sea breezes and waving at cheerful faces of local School Kids walking barefoot home.

Aaahhhhhhh !.

Can't wait.

Photos in 2 weeks time.

Forgot to mention the Motor Cycle rental operator said I could rent a second hand Crash Helmet for £1.70 a week or if I wanted a brand new one Sir, only used once (?) he can let me have one for £2.75 a week.

The Bike meanwhile will set me back £9 a day.

They are all fatalists so the attitude is "If I died whilst driving on the wrong side of the road, that's fate for you".
I'd rather drive in Rome during rush hour with one hand tied behind my back. Would be safer.

Happy to dig O.C. out on this one.....what he meant was the 'thump, thump' as you go down a pot hole on the Indian roads and back out the other side.

Not the BIKE itself...eh OC ?
