The GoPro mount in the handle bar bolt is a neat trick - how did you achieve that?

(I think...)

Threading the bolt of the handlebar which remains perfect for having a screw thread of 8 mm.

I find the suction cup is ideal for it. Have done silly speeds and its never let me down.

Hi Winston - how/where have you mounted the suction cup?
I currently have this on the side beneath the mirror - with a lanyard tied to the mirror just in case - but I find the film quality very jerky as it seems to bounce a lot.
Sorry for deviating from the thread.

If you do not want to vibrations of the image, the cup should be amended so.

Many thanks MGvalerio - how do you ensure the suction cup (and GoPro) isn't lost if it falls off?

Pete. I use a neck lanyard tied to the mirror.. The suction cup is very strong and shouldn't come unstuck.

It is very easy ... with wire line to the suction cup and the first 10 cm of the screw holder
Front cover of the bike.

Hi MG - your post on YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07WfuKCrgVw&lc=v78tVXhcmOP9vlMUWauMkcpN3e7lXhCOM_DNZqioV-M&feature=em-comment_reply_received&lch=email_reply
seems to show a GoPro mount on the outside end of the bar end - any chance you could let me/us know where this was sourced from?

I think I prefer the mounting to the outside as you show in your clip above to the inside - although I have a RAM mount fitted inside the clutch end just in case. I have also fitted a permanent centre mount under the screen as you have. this works quite well although I have been unable to cure the motion vibration.

As always your video's are very informative and seem to provoke more questions

Hi MG - I have to admit defeat, you are too clever for me. Even after watching the video I still cannot work out how you have managed to get the mount point into the hexagonal recess for the bolt

I am guessing it is araldite or something similar. Or have you tapped a thread into the recess to take the bar? Either way it is very ingenious. Well done...

I'm sure you could make a lucrative second income with all these adaptions you undertake on your GTR.

In entrambi i casi è molto ingegnoso. Ben fatto ...

- have tried mounting the GoPro all over the place (side of fairing , swingarm , etc).

- the best place is still on top of your helmet

Personally I really do not like cameras on helmets, I did try it once and decided to remove it again.

I now have my GoPro mounted underneath the left hand rear view mirror, the camera can then be set to inverted image, it works great with good capture and acceptable sound levels.

I did have it on ,y helmet for a long time however I just kept getting the 5th Telly Tubby comments and shouts of 'A O'
So I removed it and have been hunting for the 'perfect' place - the fitting to the bar end (posted below) that MG used seems to be the most appealing to me. As MG has been kind enough to show how he did it I feel a modification coming on for my bar ends  Thanks again MG (and others for valuable contributions).

- before mounting your GoPro behind the windscreen , please note that the GTR's polycarbonate windscreen is very "wavy" and full of distortion. Ie , not like a car's windscreen.

- not sure how your footage will show up behind a screen like that

Hi Pistole - the mounting I am looking to use is in MG's video clip above - outside end of the clutch grip - so modification to the bar end is required.
