Title: Calsci Screen
Post by: viewdvb on April 03, 2010, 08:42:29 PM
At 6ft2 I have problems with the even the 2010 screen so I fitted the XL version of the Calsci screen which gained me about 3 inches in height and 2 inches on width.  More important, it has a vent to reduce turbulence and  back pressure.  So far, it seems to work well though a downside to the calm behind the screen is that my visor mists up more readily.  You can't win em all.

Misting up visor ??  Fit a Pin Lock to it ! That will sort it ... if not then just buy a new visor with it already fitted. I am pretty sure Arai and or Shoei do them as standard on their more expensive helmets.. it works a treat with no misting up whatever the weather.

There was one going on eBay which I subsequently won and have been pleasently surprised with. I'm not sure of the exact size, but I'm guessing its the medium shield. It's as tall as the official Kawasaki touring screen and the wind protection is much better. Its a lightweight shield and doesn't get affected much by strong winds. With it fully raised I'm in clean air with hardly any buffeting so its a result. The only problem with the shield is that it has a tendency to deflect more air onto your lower arms. Not sure how much of a problem that will be in winter. The vent also comes handy to reduce turbulence

So far very happy and an absolute steal from flea bay

this is the difference of standard 08/09/10 screen and the PUIG one... ie. +12cm higher and a bit wider than the original. Huge difference for a small bloke like me... (188cm)
