Title: Projekt d pillion footpeg lowering kit.
Post by: PRD on December 19, 2012, 04:01:29 PM
Hi All

What is the best way to remove and replace small circlip on pin holding footpegs? Apparently there is  spring and ball bearing in the pegs. How are they located?
I hope you all have a great Xmas and New Year.

If memory serves me correctly its a small 'C' clip which can be removed by using the blades of a couple of small screwdrivers, the spring and ball behind can easily be lost when removing the peg, so be cautious, however there's not much pressure behind the ball as the spring isn't too strong.

Put a dust sheet or something similar on the floor under the bike before you start and then if any components drop they wont roll away and can easily been seen without being lost on your workshop floor....top tip.
