I've got a plan in place for next May.
Wed: Staffordshire to Dumfries..... probably through the Lakes or may be Settle / Hawes ish.
Thur: Dumfries to Fort William..... probably through the Galloway Forest Park and Loch Lomond ish
Fri: Day out from Fort William and back to Fort William...... not looked at map yet.
Then hopefully Saturday travel to Pitlochry to work with NEG on a multi-participation cycle event on Sunday and ride home on Monday.
If not chosend for the NEG team, ride home on Saturday.
2 GTR's and a BMW...... should be good trip

Just watch out for the tacs dropped by the locals
Let me know which you know which dates in May, and I'll meet up with you in/around the Lakes

You will hopefully enjoy this friendly and informative forum, but I guess you already know that as it seems that you have been 'lurking' for a while :mfr_lol:
Hello Ali (bongo :mfr_lol:
Fancy seeing you here!
Not that much to tell Olde Coney. Had a GTR1400 for the last 2 half years and like Patrick I`m a NEG motorcycle marshal.

Yup!
That's good.
I was initially a reserve :-( but am now on the list so it tags nicely onto the end of our Scotland jaunt.

See you there Winston
Wednesday 8th May.
The plan is that Bongo and I are meeting at Lymm services on the M6 at 0800 and heading up to Devils bridge via J34 and the A683 to The Bridge.
We are then planning to across the A590 and A595 and up the west coast to Egremont and then Cockermouth to Carlise and on to Dumfries.
I thought about going over Corney Fell but the road was in awful condition before the recent snow.
We expect to be at the bridge around 915.

Patrick I'll see you at the Bridge on the 8th. I normally arrive at about 10ish and I suspect that 100 MA will be in attendance also, its a regular meet on a Wednesday......but not today as its absolutely P*+sing it down
Corney Fell is not in a good state of repair at the moment..even the Vintage MCC guys tend to avoid it ! but we could maybe take a run up the West coast route with you its a favourite run of ours
That sounds good.
I used to live in Workington so know the area well but never done it on the bike .
