Evenin all'
Well, My long haired German Shepherd was looking a tad scraggy, muddy and matted, so I treated her to a full wash and blow dry at 'plush pooches' in Ruislip today.
The girl in the parlour said she'd be over an hour until I could collect her and I knew Daytona Motorcycles were just up the road (500 yards). So - off I toddled for a look around, kill a bit of time etc...
Ahem...cough! Walked out an hour later as the owner of a new 2012 Candy Arabian red GTR. Fuck it! I asked what the price was for a new one and they had this one unregistered sitting in the shop - got a good deal I believe. Mine is a mint 2008 black one, FSH with 17,500 miles on the clock. Got offered £6000.00 for it and paid £11000.00 for the new one.
Taking mine in tomorrow and they're swapping all the Garmin 660, Cee Baileys screen, Leo Vinci Titanium/carbon can and putting the plate on for the Givi top box. They're also fitting new bar risers (with an extra 12 volt socket and ram mount ball) - all included in the deal. Gotta pay a few quid extra for road tax/registration.
Called Carole Nash when I got home and transferred the insurance to the new bike - still got 7 months until renewal and they added the new bike and removed the old one for £51.00 - thought that was excellent - already been emailed the new policy, so full marks to Carole Nash.
Should collect it this weekend. Looking forward to heated grips, traction control, eco mode etc...
Colour will grow on me I hope! Anyway - keeping the GTR ownership alive!

Thank God I've only got a Springer. :mfr_lol:
Springers need 10 walks a day, are the muddiest, mental, hyper, un-exhaustable, springy, hunting, trudging through hedges, ditches, over and in rivers, oceans, continents, mad canines!
.........And after all that, they sit there looking at you and begged to be taken out for another walk!! Gotta love 'em!
